This was a really gorgeous entry for one of (if not my very first) contest I held on DA. :3 It was a 'What if Mufasa hadn't died' contest. This was 's gorgeous entry! She wrote a fabulous story to accompany this that I highly recommend checking out on the original submission, linked below.

A condensed version is that when Rafiki tells Simba his father is alive and to follow him- he leads him to his father, who managed to survive after all. :3 I very much loved this entry! If only Mufasa had survived- how different the movie would have been.

The posing is really well done here, and I love the facial expressions! It is a truly stunning piece of art.
