Something I put together over the course of 3 - 4 evenings, because work has picked up in chaos level and I have little to no energy to do much else now. This is a comparison piece of the two versions of Tygerlander. The old one on the right, given name Katrina Lau and the new one on the left, Jing Lei.

Katrina's obviously westernized and older than Jing Lei. I haven't decided if I'll keep Jing Lei in that outfit come time of the next tournament.

The other difference is that Katrina had more years training in the martial arts. Jing Lei didn't care much for it, opting to spend her time at the tiger sanctuary, much to her detriment.

Anyway, biggest difference is that the nomiker of Tygerlander is mentioned once or twice in Afterlife. My old fic I may have went with Tygerlander as the default name (Katrina did have Quan Chi after her like a bloodhound, that bald-headed freak...oh and Scorpion. Quan's lackey. Villians always love calling you by a title or nickname, y'know.) The changes of the given names are important as Katrina was initially found as a child in the US because of some stupid invasion thing I had when I did a cross over with another videogame...that's all you're getting. Jing Lei was like her adoptive mother, Shan Fa, in being abandoned to die in the countryside of China.

My original fic is not here. It was on my my website until website script incompatibility had me just wipe the slate clean. You don't want to read through that crap. Mary-Sueism and bad intermingling with another person's OCs and world. and dumb crossovers

If you're following me through Bleach, just accept my updated revisions whenever Katrina talks about her previous life as how I had it in that old fic in my chapters of Damaged.

If you're following me through Mortal Kombat, um Hi! I've been in this fandom since 1997 Please bear with how abrupt and undetailed Afterlife is. Redoing several years worth of Fandom AU is kinda hard when one hasn't touched said fandom in a good number of years.

I'm probably going to redo the verbage here as it's rambly and I'm tired and am in need of a pillow and blanket (and a bed, of course)
