Description Born of shimmering metal and flashy circuitry, Beer Bot was created for one purpose and one purpose alone: to entertain small children with drinking habits at birthday parties. Back in 2007 I was in grad school and hadn't done anything creative in a while. For some reason I just became obsessed with doing SOMETHING for Halloween as a creative outlet. Thus Beer Bot was born and took 2 weeks/$200 to complete. I never thought to post this but I haven't posted in a while and my brother suggested I bring it up. Enjoy!

He's made of spray-painted cardboard, with metal duct tubing for the arms and legs, and metal accents. You can't see it in any of the pictures I took, but there are a string of lights that run along the edges of the shoulder, a light underneath a hood that shines down on the chest logo, and both the Styrofoam-ball eyes light up. All the "bolts" along the edges are push pins I put hot glue on to make sure they stick. The eyes are made of a metal gold/copper mesh so I could see out but you couldn't see in. Claw #1 fit a beer bottle perfectly while hand #2 was a bottle opener. The antennas are made of dowel rods wrapped in glittery pipe-cleaners. Finally the mouth actually opened up so I could drink beer as needed.

Thanks. It was fun to make and a great way to avoid studying.
