Description There are four eras in its history, the Chozoan Era, the Monzic Era, the Imperial Era, and the Republican Era. The Chozoan Era was when the northern half of the Federation was under the rule of the Chozoan Empire, and administrated as the Southern Kingdoms. During this time the Chozoan language was introduced to this region and over time merged with the various languages of the area. The result was the Nnon-Zon language, at first classified as a dialect of Chozoan despite the fact that the two are no longer mutually intelligible and use different alphabets.
The Monzic Era corresponds with the end of the Chozoan Age of Anarchy (57,328-71,609 CFE) when central authority in the Chozoan Empire broke down and rebellions and foreign invasion were common, and the beginning of the Chozoan Age of Reconstruction (71,609-121,527 CFE) when the Chozoan Empire was rebuilding, reforming, and reorganizing. Monz was an underdeveloped world on the fringes of the Chozoan Empire that began to prosper during the Age of Anarchy. In earlier years, the Ti Kingdom (a state in the Chozoan region called the Southern Kingdoms) kept the planet, like many of the other worlds under its control, from developing, manipulating its various states to constantly fight each other to keep them all weak (Monz was still using black powder during the Unification Wars). During the Age of Anarchy, the Xaq and Su peoples constantly invaded the Southern Kingdoms, and with the Chozoan Empire unable to defend the region during the chaos, the Ti Kingdom could no longer focus its attention on its lesser worlds. The king of the Zareeni Kingdom on Monz, Avo-Kuun, began to unite the planet under his rule. Kopozul Qotile, a Bakuan who was born on Monz in the Zarmo Penal Colony due to his parents being a Bakuan secessionist and an Akuan assassin who had managed to escape and move up through the Chozoan government, returned to Monz around the time Avo-Kuun began assembling his armies. During the Age of Anarchy, Qotile served as the Imperial High Chancellor of the Chozoan Military, a rank created during the chaotic times to take command and unify the entire Empire's armed forces. Slowly, Qotile had managed to reunite and stabilize the Empire, but became increasingly disillusioned with the increasing corruption and constant politicking plaguing the Empire, Oblivion Council (the Chozoan legislature and government), and the militaries (the Imperial Navy, the Imperial Legions, and the Imperial Auxiliary Legions). A few centuries before the Age of Reconstruction began, Qotile resigned from his post and retired to his home world of Monz, were he was recruited by Avo-Kuun to lead his armies. For seven years, the Zareeni Kingdom fought against the Xile, Naron, Jarinon, Nar, and Haron Kingdoms, ending with the Battle of the Kenn Plains. With that victory, the coalition surrendered to Avo-Kuun and the Zareeni Kingdom as Qotile's army began to march into their territories. After over a hundred more years of war, Qotile lead his armies across the world and united it under Avo-Kuun's banner. Avo-Kuun renamed Monz to Tjendra, a Monzic word meaning "unity". Avo-Kuun allowed the kingdoms and their subjugated leaders to continue ruling so long as they took an oath of allegiance to the Tjen Empire rather than punish them for their earlier refusal to join the Empire. They agreed, and royal families of each of the kingdoms would have a say in the new government. This style of incorporating a new territory helped allow the Tjen Empire to expand quickly.
Eventually they took advantage of the chaos occurring throughout the Southern Kingdoms to quickly take over the area that became the main part of the Amintro Federation. This marked the beginning of the Imperial Era. After Avo-Kuun's death his son, Avo-Kuun II, invaded the areas around the Tjen borders. Qotile once again lead the armies of Tjendra and managed to capture a massive area of the universe. For over 60,000 Monzic years (413 Earth days is 1 Monzic year), the Great War raged between Tjendra and the Meletef League, an alliance made up of the Chozoan, Chokean (the successor to Kiva), Disturbian Empries, and Pian Empi united against the invading Tjen. The war for the most part was a stalemate, with neither side being able to take land from the other without suffering heavy losses. By the time of Empress Amora-Kuun I (3rd emperor of Tjendra) the boundaries of the empire were set, the size of Tjendra had grown by over 500%. Throughout the existence of the Tjen Empire, Qotile exerted a heavy presence over the imperial government, being the Minister of War, Commander of the Senjo Corp (Senjo is a type of magic that uses chi manipulation to alter the world around them and greatly increasing the longevity of the user), having control of Tjendra's weapons of mass destruction, and having a large influence on the 18 Imperial Houses of Tjendra. By the time of Nnoa Azo VI, Qotile began to lose influence in the empire. Qotile and Nnoa Azo VI constantly fought over the future of the empire.
In Year 16,976, the Amintro Uprising began. With space on Tjendra limited, the Imperial government moved many of its agencies, offices, ministries, and most importantly the Imperial Parliament. The uprising began over a dispute over how much power the parliament and the empress had over each other. Neither side backed down, so the empress shutdown the parliament, which promptly ignored her and voted to remover her from power. The Imperial Military responded and brutally suppressed the uprising.
The relationship would continue to deteriorate until finally in Year 16,981 of the Nnoa Azo VI Era, the empress exiled Qotile from the Tjen Empire, which greatly angered Qotile and the majority of the Imperial High Command. Nnoa Azo VI would take direct control of the Imperial Military High Command, which would further anger the general staff as they felt that the empress was damaging the war effort due to her lack of experience, her constantly overriding their orders, and the belief that the empress was mismanaging the war economy when she took over the Imperial Economics Board. By Year 17,027 of the Nnoa Azo VI Era, the empress was forced to pardon and ask Qotile to return to the Empire after the Meletef League managed to break Imperial defenses on the Eastern Front. Qotile reluctantly returned, re-assumed command of the Imperial Military and pushed back the Meletef League. The incident allowed Qotile to convince the Imperial High Command to stage a coup against the empress. When the empress announced she was abdicating in favor of her granddaughter, Kaori Azo, who had lived outside the Tjen Empire her entire life and had nearly zero knowledge of the how the Empire worked (or even that it existed until a few months before the announcement) fueled the growing coup. When it was latter announced that Princess Kaori Azo was to be married to the heir to the Rononian Empire in Area 2, which would have united the two empires and further expanded the war, the coup finally decided to act. The coup was staged in Year 17,029 during wedding/abdication ceremony. Qotile killed the empress and allowed Kaori and the remained of House Azo to flee to the Rononian Empire unharmed on the condition that they never return. The fall of the monarchy resulted in a civil war. The new Amintro Federation was immediately at war; many of the more traditional commander and governors of the Tjen Empire refused to acknowledge the existance of the Federation, and several decided to make their own empires. The Meletef League was quick to take advantage of the chaos, and after a year the Tjen Civil War and the Great Monzic War were over. The Treaty of Kennithdrow was signed in the former Imperial Palace (which briefly served as the temporary Presidential Palace before the government fully moved to Amintro), which ended the war, recognized the Amintro Federation, and established the borders of the Amintro Federation, the Chozoan Empire, the Pian Empi, the Chokean Empire, the Disturbian Empire, the newly independent states of Trinity, the Stikymon Empire, the Deletef Empire, Ozistan, and the reformed Artemus Empire. The Amintro Federation was reduced to the former Tjen Home Territories, and the New Tjen Settlement Zone (due to all the Tjen settlers who had been living there for generations). The northern part of the Federation was acquired in Year 3 of the Republican Era, when a border dispute between the Chozoan and Chokean Empires escalated into open warfare. The Chokean Empire convinced the Amintro Federation to enter the Chokean-Chozoan Border War and as a result the Treaty of Second Rrazov gave the Amintro Federation the Northern District, and the Chokeans took the whole Chozoan Eastern Province.
