Description I drew these some time ago on paper, and thought why not.
-----
Originally settled by an ancient and advanced race known as the Qhal, the Halja Galaxy grew as its rulers used their technology to create many of the galaxy's stars and worlds. After many millennia, the growth of the galaxy stopped as the Qhal simply disappeared. The Halja Galaxy was discovered thousands of years later by humanity in 5973 TC (Terran Calendar). The human explorers landed on a desert world they named Nuevo Paso (a name that is still used) in the galactic south. As they began exploring the galaxy, they discovered many hostile life forms (giving the galaxy its name Halja, meaning hell in an ancient language) and the ancient warp gates left by the Qhal civilization. In 6002, humanity discovered how to reactivate and link the warp gates. This allowed humanity to flourish in spite of the hostile species. By 6318, most worlds in the galaxy were settled by humans. With the warp gates replacing hyperdrives, humanity lost the technology. When the warp gate system suddenly collapsed around 6500, most colonies were isolated. Many human civilizations collapsed and many worlds lost their advanced technology. It would not be until 7569 that the hyperdrive would be reinvented. Slowly, but steadily, the galaxy’s many worlds began to reconnect with each other. In 7783, merchants from the world Amintro rediscovered the world Monz. Monz was one of the many worlds that lost its technology. One of the world’s rulers used the technology acquired from the Amintro merchants to reunite the world. Over the years, he conquered the Zerjia system (the star system Monz is in), then in 7921, he began his mission to unite the galaxy. The Unification Wars took over 3000 years to complete, but in the end most of the Halja Galaxy was united under the banner of the Imperial Haljan Galactic Empire.
Early on in the Unification Wars, the need for a standardized transport became apparent as the thousands of variously different vehicles used was putting an extensive strain on the young empire's logistics. The capture of the industrial worlds of Maul (7987) and Omega 9 (7996) gave the empire the engineering man-power it needed. The VV6 was introduced around 8001, and was quickly put in service during the Galactic Center Campaigns (7972-9112). The VV6 was simple, easy to mass produce and maintain, and durable. Its design was quickly copied. The world of Omega 9 began designing a tank based on the VV6 by 8034. The first VV7 Main Battle Tanks were assembled by 8040 and quickly tried during the Battle for Torinalaus (8041). The VV7 proved capable during the battle and was officially entered into service. Soon after, the worlds of Gamma Sigma, Maul, and Zak introduced their own variants of VV7. Despite the different armaments on these tanks they all share a few similar features, the VV6's chassis, all four tanks use a dual-linked J4V950 110mm Autocannon and a coaxial R558g 22x127mm Autocannon as their main armaments, and all four have a limited capacity to carry soldiers.
