A map I'm making for something I plan on writing soon.

-Terran Imperial Hegemony- A militaristic, imperialist, expansionist aristocratic empire centered around Earth (commonly called Fortress Terra). After the formation of the TIH, the first emperor decided to change the entire Earth into something similar to the Globus Cassus ( [link] ) model, the only difference being the vast amounts of weaponry stationed on the outside of the case. For over five thousand years the Hegemony has survived and over time developed a social hierarchy, the royal family on top, the chancellors of the dominions, the nobles, military leaders, free merchants, and commoners on the bottom. The Hegemony is divided into five dominions headed by a chancellor. Each dominion is set up to better defend that area of the empire and prevent any force from reaching Fortress Terra.

-Xenophon Empire- An alien order centered around their homeworld of Xenophan, the Xenophons are a group of hostile, racist lizard-men that care not for the other races. They have a strictly centralized government. They are frequently at war with their neighbors.

-Ancient Order- An ancient confederation, centered around Par'lo, of different alien races and some human settlers who fight to protect the ancient core regions. They tend to be pacifist, and have many neutrality treaties with the Hegemony, but they are constantly at war with the Xenothons. The main reason the Hegemony isn't at war with the Order is due to the higly more advanced weaponry used by the Order. The two occasionally trade with each other, but the Order prefers to stay out of Imperial Terran contact.

-Yuinov Republic- republic centered around Tero near the edge of the galaxy. Has a tendency to ally with the Hegemony due to the constant raids made by the Free Terran Alliance. Even with that, the Yuinovs and the Hegemony are on shaky terms.

-Muuran Empire- A race of arrogant aliens who claim a large chunk of Xenophon territory. Centered around the world of Muunruk, the Muunran are constantly at war with the Hegemony and the Xenophon. Have a government similar to that of the Xenophon's.

-Voidmed Union- A peace union of various races that tends to stay out of foreign politics and most wars. One of the few nations to have good relations with the Hegemony. Centered around Voidran.

-Free Terran Alliance- Made up of the 153 recently seceded sectors in the extreme south of the Hegemony. While criticizing the way the Hegemony is run, they set up a mirror of it in the Alliance, with the only difference being that the Alliance is more despotic and militant than the Hegemony. Centered around Rezor.
