Ever since I saw the episode "The Lie" from The Amazing World of Gumball (definitely one of the better 2010s Cartoon Network shows in my book), I wanted to write grindcore songs in tribute to it. After a lot patience waiting to find grindcore drum MIDI and a lot of listening to grindcore music, I finally did it: www.youtube.com/watch?v=erpZMj…For those who are curious, my inspirations for the music were mostly Christian grindcore bands. (Yes, they actually exist!) Obviously I needed to do some research before I could write anything in the genre. In particular, I found the bands Eternal Mystery, Rehumanize, and Flactorophia to be the most inspiring.
Good luck finding those bands! They're almost completely unknown and I had to scour every grindcore Blogspot and YouTube account I could find to compile a woefully incomplete collection. There was one band I was interested in called Corpse Under Construction that had almost gone completely missing, and all I could find was two videos- one short song, and one poorly recorded live concert.
