My first really-complete drawing using the tablet. I wanted to do something more refined than a doodle, and Scrat was the first thing I thought of. I've drawn him before (they aren't scanned yet), so it was pretty easy. I also got a bunch of really nice Photoshop brushes from here on dA, so I decided to use 'em for the coloring part. The background came out kinda minimalist, but I kinda figure that's not really the focus.Anyway, Scrat. Scrat's one of my favorites.

While I'm not a fan of the later ice age movies tbh, Scrat was the best part about them; highly unlikely, but there should be either a Scrat or Buck solo movie.

I know what you mean. I think the main problem with the 4th and 5th movies is that they had too many characters, and the writers insisted that they give each and every one of them something to do. Honestly I wouldn't mind at all if they just left Crash and Eddie behind with the rest of the background guys.

Yeah, I actually love the designs of the prehistoric animals, I can say the animators actually knew what they were doing.
But a real ice age sequel should've been when the gang reunite with an adult version of the Neanderthal baby from the first movie, maybe he breaks the verbal boundaries between the humans and animals

I was just reading that they are considering doing a sixth, possibly final movie. And there's this article that also suggests bringing back the humans: popwrapped.com/ice-age-6/
Dunno how much one article could influence the real thing though. I have been thinking Disney owning Blue Sky now might put them back on solid ground. And they can pull off something with more emotion, like The Peanuts Movie and Ferdinand.
