Plaguing the Thar Desert with fearsome and powerful sandstorms, Akupāra has complete dominion over the deserts of India. The creature’s incredibly dense and durable shell is impenetrable to even the strongest conventional weaponry from bunker busters to M.O.A.Bs. While slow in movement on land, the creature surprisedly fast beneath the sand. Multiple opens near the front of the kaiju’s shell pulls in air before being blasted out the near-end sides of the creature’s shell, effectively creating thrust that propel the massive animal through the sands and also generating massive sandstorms. Regardless of the destructive capabilities of the sandstorms the creature creates, Akupāra is one of the more tranquil kaiju on Earth. This has cause residents near the desert to setup unofficial and illegal tourist vehicles called “Sandsailers”. Makeshift sailboats with a turbine engine attached to it which allows sailers to come close to the kaiju’s vicinity and use the sails of the vehicles to pick up the winds generated. This form of “tourism” has lead to the injuries and deaths of many foolish to come near.
