Description “It has been know for awhile after tons of observation and research all that the kaiju that emerged have an intelligent beyond any of animal of the Earth besides humans. From Módgudr, who may be simple minded but still clever, to Babi who renown to create and fashion weapons and other equipment from the mercury that run off his body. Azaka Tonnerre has even display this before the emergence of the others, the kaiju quickly recognizing different types of weaponry used against him and thus learning to counter. (One event led to Azaka triggering an thermonuclear bomb to detonate early before the warhead was even fired.) Some kaijuologist even believe the kaiju are even capable of learning written languages from multiple observations of particular kaiju acknowledging and even studying writing on billboards and neon signs. With that it is believed an average kaiju has at the intellect prowess of an human toddler, but this requires further study to be fully accepted.

Cephalopods are widely regarded for being the smartest invertebrates, with their developed senses and large brains.
The Kraken (also known as Akkorokamui during its brief surfacing around the coast of Hokkaido) is not surprising that the combinations of it being a kaiju and cephalopods make its intelligent rival even the primate Babi. And with that intelligent, The Kraken has become an sort of boogieman for new interns stationed in the Observation Facility within the Baltic Sea.

The Kraken is one of the more uneventful kaiju, usually lounging inside it’s makeshift home constructed from the wreckage of freighters and warships (most of those ships being sunked by the creatures himself). The Kraken like all the rest of the kaiju shows signs of “chimerazation”, the creature have morphology that is an mixture of octopus, squid, cuttlefish and even nautilus. The colossal cephalopod has high bioelectrical capabilities though not as great as Azaka. Like regular cephalopods, the Kraken can change his colors, patterns and skin texture for camouflage, making itself appear as a large undersea boulder or an portion of a coral reef. The Kraken is also know to produce dark ink that is incredibly hot in temperature, this ink also act as a superconductor that strengths the kaiju’s electrical attacks. The top half of the mantle of the kaiju is covered in interlocking armored plating, which The Kraken can curl into a shell like that of a nautilus.

Like the other kaiju, the Kraken is fully aware of the humans observing it. But unlike others who would either be aggressive or indifferent, the Kraken directly enjoys interacting with humans. Often playing with objects drop by VTOLs or putting on an lightshow for the facility’s occupants. And that’s where we get to the bad part.

As previously stated, the Kraken has become a sort of boogieman for new interns. And that is several reported incidents that have no actual evidence of happening. The Baltic Sea facility usually have most of its occupants vacant to their homes during closing hours, with only custodian works or late night workers staying behind. During several periods of the year, one of these workers come reporting in great hysteria about the kaiju’s activity. These reports are shown with pure distress of the kaiju “talking” to them personally. The report usually go the same, the individual recalling off “hearing something” from the observation deck of the facility where the main glass panel is. When those individuals arrive they are met with The Kraken being dangerously close to the facility than it has ever been actually recorded. The witnesses report that “That even through those emotionless, alien eyes they could feel as if it was peering straight into their soul.” Continued on they reported the most bizarre part of their stories. That the kaiju would lifted up a large sheet of a ship’s hull and have human writing on these sheets written from the kaiju’s ink. Someone of these writings have been reported saying “I KNOW YOU ARE WATCHING ME”, “I AM SMARTER THAN YOU BELIEVE” and “THEY WILL RETURN SOON FROM THE STARS”. With that, there has no been any recordings or physical evidences of any of these events. Along with that only new interns have these reports as older members of the facility who have stayed late report the entire night being uneventful, with this they have been written off the witnesses suffering paranoia. Usually these witnesses insist on what they have seen and are often discharged from the facility, even those who accepted that conclusion eventually reported the event happening again and thus are eventually discharged too. Oddly during theses nights of the reports there is a large electrical disturbance most likely generated from the kaiju’s body, causing cameras and anything other electronics to cense functions temporarily....”
