He was in hot pursuit of his nemesis Megatron, following the Decepticon Leader into a wormhole that ends up sending them both clear across the galaxy. His truck mode rendered useless in the harsh non-traversable planet he ends up on, Optimus taps into his emergency data reserves to reformate himself into a new form granting him a new flight mode for bypassing any terrain altogether. Stranded with no guaranteed way back home Optimus must also shut down his more elaborate Energon based combat capabilities to conserve power. The trek home is going to be quite the hellish journey even with this new form at his disposal, may Primus guide him safely as he takes flight through a dark abyss...
