Yeah you can easily guess what was the basic idea behind this design, despite that I tried to keep it as "Megatron" as I can.I'm primarily doing these cards under the mindset of a Transformers cartoon with the primary cast being the following - Optimus, Arcee, Cheetor, Strongarm, Rhinox, Windblade, Slash, Blackaracknia, Shockblast, Soundwave and Megatron.

It would be interesting if this version of Megatron actually becomes Overlord instead of Galvatron. Therefore Galvatron could be a different entity, like in the old UK comics, and this version of Megatron would fight one of many false primes, Ginrai...

I actually have my own take on Megatron in which the hulking warrior everyone knows and fears is just a Sparkless Transtector shell engineered by Shockwave to hide the identity of the real Megatron, a Battle Master Mini-Con whose alternate mode is none other than the Fusion Cannon with the only other Decepticon that knows the truth being Soundwave.
As a Mini-Con, Megatron loathes the idea of being another Transformer's subservient tool which is the impetus for the Decepticon rebellion. In fact the series would start with Optimus blasting a hole through the Transtector's chest believing that Megatron was slain at which point Starscream would take command of the Decepticons with Shockwave and Soundwave as his advisors, manipulating him into carrying out Megatron's will while Lugnut has the disguised Megatron mounted to his body as a twisted form of mourning the 'fallen' leader.

From Gun, to jet, to tank. At this point Megatron should be a Triple Changer, like Blitzwing. Then again, would the Gun mode and Tank mode be the same?
Also, if I ever had a Shoulder Angel & Devil, I would like one of them to Megatron. What about you?

They tried a Triple Changer with Titans Return Megatron. They even gave him a Headmaster, Doomshot.
