Y'know what I'd like to see? A Shonen Jump crossover game that basically starred Jojo, like everything regarding the story mode was basically like this- (X=SJ Franchise) (Y=SJ character from X that the player chooses to play as)The final battle of X is coming to a close. The villains employ a last ditch effort utilizing time and space distortion to win the war, it works but far from what the villains intended. Instead of merely recreating the world in their image this distortion merely brings something from another universe all together.....a massive stone pillar of which three seemingly dead beings come back to life when they get a hold of fresh blood.
The Pillar Men are reborn. Thanks to the time distortion the terrifying trio of Kars, Wamuu and Esidisi are once again alive and free to run amuck as they please. Their first order of business is to ravage the world of X, namely feed off as many of the heroes and villains of X as they possibly can before then going to find the Red Stone of Aja to complete a plan they started eons ago.
Y is the only one left, whether the only one able to stand or just the only one left alive is unclear, all that is known to Y is that they are the only one who was lucky enough to weather/survive the sudden storm of vampiric fury. And it is Y who is found by a mysterious stranger calling himself DIO. This stranger has come to draft Y, imploring Y to take responsibility for the utter folly his world has wrought and stop the Pillar Men from becoming "perfect beings" free to devour the now connected parallel universes at their leisure. Whether or not Y acceps this task willingly matters not for this DIO leaves them no other choice but to follow him, his strange charisma and deafening aura enough to control even the most dangerous villains of X. And thus the race is on for Y and DIO to hunt down the Pillar Men before it's too late....but one wonders what will happen if DIO does manage to bring the Pillar Men down, perhaps Y would only end up trading one dangerous threat to all the parallel universe for another.....
All the while, a group of five powerful psychic Crusaders following the trails of Stardust embark on the same mission to stop the Pillar Men. Their real target however is DIO himself.

This game would be called "Dio's World" since by all accounts Dio would actually be the main character.
I'd like to see Platimum make a game like this, take their expertise in action game systems and apply it to a dedicated one on one fighter. Like literally if Bayonetta was a fighting game, a far better outcome than all those recent Dragon Ball and Naruto "fighting games" that focus more on the "authentic Dragon Ball experience" than actually making a fun goddamn game. Super Mode would be much more streamlined and balanced compared to all other "anime fighters", all it would do is allow a character to access alternate movesets not too far removed from their standard layouts and give them entirely different Super Moves, no bullshit power buffs or unfair moves. And you can only have one Super Mode at a time, none of that crap where you can just transform from Super Saiyan One all the way up to Super Saiyan Gogeta, just pick one and stick with it. All characters would have one Super Mode by default with any additional ones available being unlockable. Roster would also be more balanced, not some insane hundred plus character bullshit like in the recent Ninja Storm games (I mean Jesus do we really need every fucking last character in Naruto in one game?) Each represented franchise would at most get eight characters tops, three from the start and five unlockable. And aside from DLC only six highlight franchises (and one hidden franchise) would be showcased on the disc to keep things tight...

After much discussing with others I've come to the conclusion that while having Saitama be playable wouldn't be very "balanced" or faithful to the source material it could make for a very rewarding completion bonus, that and maybe have him be a super secret boss in the same vein as Shadow Jago.

Saitama is that one boss battle in any given story driven video game that you're suppose to lose to. If he were playable in a fighting game there'd be balance issues up the ass all the way out the mouth. At least Superman is weak to magic and lack of yellow sunlight.

He IS playable in the One Punch Man game... You just gotta wait for him to show up to the fight, with your team suffering a 2-on-3 handicap until he does.

Yeah maybe, perhaps Super Saiyan Blue could be on par with Boros's power level and win or lose Goku can at least make the fight a challenge. It's just Goku was designed to have limits while Saitama was not, both fitting the tones their respective books established. To go against that for a fighting game you might as well just go straight Smash Bros. and say "what story?". Meh, probably the better option here.....but dammit I like fighting games that have stories.....

For his universe he is overpowered but when compared to even someone like Krillin training methods and feets aren't really that astounding even for three years. Then again I haven't read the manga and what I know is based on a google search.

By nature Onepunch Man is a satire manga much as the original Ninja Turtles was a satire of gritty comics. Saitama is the strongest in his universe because rule of funny.

I see, but still I think most of the cast from DB/Z/GT/S could easily defeat him when the laws of his universe don't apply, such as inter-dimensional cross overs where he ends up in another universe.

Or at least some typical shonen anime in the same vien as Naruto or Bleach or whatever other flavor of the week is hitting big in Shonen Jump these days. Hell from the title alone I thought it was gonna be a typical story where the cocky hero starts out able to defeat foes in one punch but then as more challenging foes appear he has to step his game up and the story just goes into typical DBZ fair. Turns out it was nothing like that, what I actually found when I started reading just blew my expectations out of the water.
The real beauty of it is that this parody actually touches on what it means to be a hero in perpetual god mode. In the transition to becoming strong he lost many things, fear, desire, passion, ambition, many things that would make others more human he accidentally threw away (not completely mind you but still) and the manga is really about him being a superhero as a hobby. He only takes part in the proceedings of "official hero ranking" to at least get a thank you for his work every now and then, but really while all the so called "real heroes" care for nothing but the social status of being a hero he does not, hell despite of how desensitized his godlike status has made him he still retains a sense of morality and strong character that not a whole lot of these other heroes are capable of. I guess what I'm saying is, yeah, this is not just a great gag manga, it's actually one of the best books I've come across in recent years.

Something tells me that in the future, Saitama is actually gonna have far more to think about when it actually comes to being a "hero" - sooner or later, someone might genuinely question the entire premise of Saitama and his relationship to the rest of the world, probably forcing him to really evaluate himself and his company.
Think about it - Saitama's training might actually have been his own journey as a Buddhist monk, due to him having no hair and being riduculously overpowered compared to the rest of his world's supers. Maybe he's just been so focused on that training that he might not have realized what he had really accomplished?
Well, that's what I think.

Speaking of, on a fundamental level, who's your favorite? Hero and Villain, I mean? Truth is, I kinda want to go out on a limb and say that the JoJo gang gets that spot, but I can certainly say that it's a pretty damn good choice...
(The Pillar Men in particular are awesome as characters, if only because they not only actively challenge their own nature and their original brethren, but also prioritized being able to get one up on their enemies!)

I suppose so. Course, as best I can tell, the style thing was more just a bit of character in the Jojo games, unless you were playing as a character from Johnny's story.
