Love this! All too often I see ideas that just rehash the "fanboat" from the 1960 movie. The Tesla-style lightning is both original and appropriate.

That is most amazing!!!
It kind of reminds me of both films and sort of like the matrix (what with the glowing orbs looking like the ones on the ships in the matrix :3)

I'd thumb through the book, perhaps even buy it for the sake of the cover. good art and a creative cover can make a story worth reading, a good first impression is always important.
