So this version of Chip you see here comes from an alternate timeline the spawns from the final battle with Dark Gaia in Sonic Unleashed. Basically what happens is Chip gets ready to seal himself away with Dark Gaia in order to prevent it from destroying the world like in the original game. However, Sonic realizes that both of them would just wake up again tens of thousands of years later to repeat everything again like they've been doing since the dawn of time. Deciding to end the cycle once and for all, Sonic uses the remainder of his Super form's powers to split Dark Gaia into seven 'pieces' before sealing each piece into the Chaos Emeralds. While this unfortunately corrupted the Chaos Emeralds, requiring them to be near the Master Emerald at all times to keep the seal on Dark Gaia's pieces in checl, it also did what Sonic intended to do, break the cycle that Chip was a part of, allowing him to live alongside Sonic and his friends.

After these events, Chip does indeed start a new life, no longer bound by his duties as Light Gaia. It of course took him a while to get used to his new life and it didn't help that Eggman was still up to no good, but with Chip now assisting Sonic and company against the evil doctor, especially when he tried making an intergalactic amusement park, hired a bunch of unique monsters he had never seen before, and even teamed up with his past self to erase all of his past defeats, but with Chip now part of the team, Eggman was thwarted every time. And after his defeat in-between time, an era of peace reigned in. No one knew how long it would last, but they would enjoy it while they could. After a few years into this time of peace though, Chip underwent a bit of a 'growth spurt' or something as his body changed, now being similar to the bodies of Sonic and the others.

Of course Chip wasn't the only one who would change a lot in this time of peace, so would Cream the Rabbit. Due to not being involved in much of the action, Cream was allowed to grow up quite a bit as well, eventually blossoming into a beautiful young woman who was a lot smarter then she appeared to be and thanks to already being involved in action already, she was well experienced as well. But as fate would have it, along with getting more mature, she also began to notice others of the opposite gender as well. And she specifically began to notice Chip himself as she couldn't help but find him to be cute, especially when his body became like the others. But then an incident occurred where Cream got hurt and couldn't get away from an oncoming disaster, but Chip, who happened to be in the area, was able to save her and helped nurse her back to full health. This incident made Cream fall completely in love with Chip. But what she didn't realize at the time was that Chip had also started to notice people of the opposite gender as well and had apparently developed a crush on her. So it's easy to imagine the surprise Cream had when Chip suddenly asked if they could go on a date together, something that Cream obviously accepted. It wasn't anything grand, but it led to the start of something bigger as Chip and Cream became a couple.

Here we have the two of them spending some time together as Chip takes a hold of Cream's hand, causing the two of them to look at each other with a smile and a blush on their faces. Chip has adopted a new outfit that's based off of tribal outfits and Cream has done the same, with Chip even making a copy of the gem on his chest for Cream that also fused with her own chest, though Cream's gem is unique, but that's a story for another time. They both also have piercings in their ears made of the same stuff as Chip's gem as well. But there have been times where they shed those clothes to enjoy the nature around them (Don't worry, their 'naughty bits' are covered by their fur), but one thing's for sure, you can bet that deep down, they both feel like they have found their soul mates in each other.

So yeah, here's a new shipping I have developed, I personally think Chip and Cream together would be pretty cute, let me know what you guys think!

Also, if anyone can tell me who made the outfit for Chip that I used for both him and Cream pretty much, as I had found the pic on Google with it being linked back to Pinterest, I'll be sure to credit the original outfit idea to them. As for the base I used for this, credit goes to debsie911 for that.
