My drawing shows the Califorina class Guided Missile Nuclear Cruisers (previously Nuclear Destroyer Leaders) in their late 1970's early 1980's state after a major update to their systems including the addition of Harpoon anti ship missiles and Phalanx CIWS together with various superstructure changes. These changes made them much more useful in the modern era they are about the enter.
The design had the following characteristics:
