I the light novels I wonder if aliens have started to come to Earth. Wish I could read the light novels and find out, but anyway I've only seen the anime version and know that this series goes past that. At the end of the final episode before the OVA Ichika is talking to someone on the phone and said that she believes this planet (Earth) will about to get crowded. Which is a prelude to things to come I think.
