Faithful, diligent, patient. Obedient, precise, dutiful.
When it is cut, the wood of the Alder tree turns from white to red, as though the tree is bleeding -
some consider this a bad omen and are cautious of this moon phase.
Wolves of the Alder Moon are thought to be suspectible to madness or evil influence.

P E R S O N A L I T Y
Daos is a wolf of more brawn than brain, but as an intellectual and sharp-witted wolf, that speaks of the mass of muscle that packs his frame. He's cunning and calculating, always seeming two steps ahead in battle. Even when an opponent outshines him in speed and agility, he’s resilient, astute and innovative. He will not allow physical limitations to be what brings him to a loss.
A quiet man, Daos is not the talkative type. His verbal responses usually come slow, and sometimes with a growl of a hum before he speaks. He’s extremely difficult to read, an emotionless face with a naturally low scowl. He’s hard to get a reaction out of, his feelings and facets unresponsive. His callous actions come easily, with no guilt or regret in its wake. The only emotion that finds light upon his features is his ire, a flame that only shows once it’s burning bright and hot.
Cold, ruthless and merciless, Daos is not a good person. His actions and words both cut deep, for he is blunt and straight to the point. He’ll hurt and use others for his benefit, and show them who’s in control. He exerts power through not only body and posture but tone and aura, and easily acquires it. He’s diligent, ambitious and devout, and intolerant to those who bend or break the rules and those who do not believe in the ways of the north. He’s grim and austere, a conservative stickler for rules and tradition. His acts of retribution are cruel and inhumane, and are often bloodied and vicious- his wife a prime example.
But what he is, is a truthful man. Oddly enough, his word is something others can count on. But that also means he does not make idle threats; he will see through to them, always one to keep his word.
B I O G R A P H Y
It was not his parents' fault that he grew up this way. Daos, ever the overachiever, strived from birth to be the best possible version of himself. In doing so, he became a Guardian in order to help protect their pack, and rose up to the rank of Gamma to prove his worth. He would be the best there could be- if only there weren't thorns growing out from within. He was cruel, unnecessarily so. He enjoyed what he did and sometimes took it too far, and oftentimes when he did, he came out of it with no consequence.
It was when Malaysia's word began to spread through the United in hushed whispers, voices that would soon become louder with the truth of their island. Daos was not a mere follower, but what Malaysia proposed was more than he could ask for. He stood beside her with many others, spreading the word and recruiting as many followers as they could. It was along those days that he met Derzelas, a fiery young and passionate recruiter who easily spun her tales of legend and magic to those around. The confident and hardworking she-wolf didn’t seem very noteworthy at first, but Derzelas proved herself, wielding a sharp minded cold and cruel persona much like his own. They weaved their tales together and brought forth many followers, and it wasn't long into the seasons that the pair became mates. They bonded more than Daos thought possible over their shared ideals and mutual desire for power. It was intriguing to say the least, and when Derzelas proposed the mateship, Daos could not turn down the proposition. It provided many opportunities, and he'd come to the realisation long ago: one always tended to look better with a family standing behind them.
As the tides began to change and Man landed on Almos, Daos and Derzelas were in the first line of wolves to storm the beach. They got their first taste of Man's flesh, soon helped with placing bones around Tundes borders prior to the Blood Moon, and quickly climbed the ranks as well known and established, loyal Adnos of the Kol. The pair fully believed that God-hood was within reach, and that it was only a matter of time. Their respect and devotion to their Alva and the Keres Spirits was unwavering, and they worked tirelessly to help their Alva make God-hood a reality.
As time went on and the Kol around them began developing their own magic, Daos and Derzelas were left without a glint in sight. The pair remained as devoted Kilti Adnos, believing the rank of Vilte was reserved for those who'd obtained God-hood, having mastered their magic and returned the trades they excelled in. But nothing happened, even as those around them reached far and beyond. They believed it were possible that, through their hardwork and dedication, God-hood would be passed down to those who were pureblooded Kol. The decision was simple, and before long, Derzelas gave birth to a litter of four healthy pups. Seasons later they would be blessed with another litter of two girls, pups who recieved even greater praise from their parents. All of their children were taught the ways of the Kol from birth, and took on trades as soon as they were able- namely the Adnos and Dios based upon Daos' wishes. They were true Northerners- ripe for the picking of the Keres Spirits.
However... Daos was far from a fatherly figure. He was strict, harsh, and crueler than he was before. Derzelas too had become much colder and cruel as their family was not gifted any magic, and their expectations for their children constantly grew and grew. They would make sure that their children succeeded in their place; there was no room for error. They would start their physical training from an early age, giving them a step up for once they began their journeys as Eiti. Astrus had joined the Dios, the two girls soon followed suit. All throughout their training, Daos and Derzelas would challenge them. The children would spar against one another, taught to exploit the other’s weaknesses while they improved their own. Daos would play mind games, having them think hard and attune their minds, becoming sharp-witted from an early age. The mated pair would train their children’s bodies and mind to perfection.
However, training was not always so smooth. Astrus' lack of progress was not something that had escaped Daos' eye. He had been watching the boy for a while, especially as his younger sisters quickly surpassed him. They were far more efficient killers, loyal to the bone, and showed what it meant to be a true Kol. They were worthy of God-hood. Daos had begun taking him out for extra training sessions during the nights, to help Astrus improve and catch up to his sisters. However, all those efforts would be in vain. The Adnos was seething when he caught wind that Astrus had attacked his daughters. The boy was demoted back to Varen, and in the process, essentially disowned by his parents. Derzelas refused to look at him, and Daos only gave him his worst. The boy seemed irredeemable, and with that, they easily put their focus on their other children. Those who seemed just as bitter towards their brother, and happily brushed him aside as they continued their journey to God-hood.
But things did not change. Neither them nor any of their children were blessed with magic, no matter how hard they proved themselves. Derzelas had grown restless as a result; with an unwillingness to accept defeat and despite her age, sought permission from the Alva for another litter. Her request was granted, but this time her pregancy was rough. Most of her pregnancy was spent sickly and alone in their den, where a bitterness for her future litter took over her. She recieved no comfort from her mate or children, for they were too busy training. Daos believed this was only a temporary mishap, and their current children should not burden themsleves. They were better off sticking to their training- for their mother wanted her space and would be fine soon enough. Or so they thought.
Derzelas had disappeared for the birth and during her recovery, for she wanted solitide and the others didn't dare overstep those boundaries. She later returned home with news that her litter did not make it, when truly she had given birth to one single pup- one she found to be weak, fragile and blind. Daos had not been impressed, and hardly comforted her in those times either. But the pup that Derzelas dumped did not perish in the night, for the boy that cried out would be discovered by another Kol.
Malaysia was informed, and after the mother was found, an Atleisti was held. The chosen champion was no one but Daos himself, and the Adnos did not hesitate. The Alva knew he would not fail her. The fight was bloody and merciless, but Daos had won this battle. All he felt was bitterness for his mate, and how she chose to dispose of their child on her own. There were better ways to deal with this no matter how much shame the blind weakling would bring to their family, but it was her withheld information and exclusion that set a fire ablaze within. Choosing a mate with such strong loyalties had become her undoing, and it showed as Daos's eyes held no remose in her final waking moments. Her body was dumped in the Voidplains, and the pup revoked from Daos' care. It turned out Daos had in fact loved his mate deep down, and the guilt had taken over him for a short while afterwards. He was deemed unfit and the pup was taken from his care, something Daos did not protest. In fact, he was grateful. Without Derzelas, he likely would've given up the pup anyway. Dealing with pups had always been her specialty.
From then on he held no interest in being apart of Lape's life, and had no intentions of ever bringing himself into it. He kept his distance and watched from afar, until his feelings for his past mate and newborn in one had dissolved, and he no longer cared for a pup not worth his time. The widower was cold before when he loved his mate, but now, Daos had nothing to lose. He became more cold hearted and cruel, devoting himself to the cause and his children’s training more than ever. He swiftly lost any touch of warmth he did hold, and dove into the embodiment of a weapon. Slowly but surely, he began to realise there was nothing stopping him from advancing in rank.
In the time after Derzelas’ death, Daos’ careful eye had not strayed from the affairs of his firstborn. Aštrus may have been disowned, but the boy still carried his blood through his veins. The boy was drenched in shame, and as time went by, remained a Varen, while his siblings far surpassed anything he hoped to accomplish. Thus, similar to lape, Daos became indifferent and disinterested in the life of his firstborn. Cut from body, mind and soul.

|| Trivia
➻ A devout follower of the cult, it is common knowledge that Daos murdered his mate in the Atleisti. One would be wise to tread carefully in his presence if their ambitions are not pure.
➻ While Daos has gotten over his wife and has moved on, he is not inclined to flirtation or courting. Although he and Derzelas may have believed achieving Godhood was for their next generation, these days, he focuses only on his current children. But that does not mean he is incapable of love again.
➻ The Adnos is invested in him family, which some may see as a positive and loving fatherly trait. But on the inside of their family circle, is a man who is incapable of showing love and affection. His feelings are ones harboured deep down, and his acts of love towards his children are anomalous. Praise is the closest they get, and have been raised to believe this is normal.
➻ During one of Daos' and Astrus' late night training sessions, Daos took it too far and choked his son in a firm hold. Out of desperation, Astrus clawed at his legs, which is part of why Daos has so many leg scars.
