I used to think it was a question of either being a dead person who had broken an oath to Liara, or of surviving by being a mass murderer. I see the better path now, the one my Zhenia would choose.
I will not say. It will be a SURPRISE!
But because my Shepard is Russo-Canadian, this should be very interesting ...
What is more, Zhenia was raised with the idea that their is no such thing as a naval rank of Commander (because in Russia, there isn't, instead they have Captain Second Rank). This leads to an interesting situation where the Alliance does not officially consider her a Captain, but RusFed on Earth, and RusFed satellite countries, and citizens of RusFed offworld colonies, do consider her a Captain.
Thus, when Shala'Ran calls her a Captain, Zhenia is beaming and she snaps to, saluting, and she declares: "Да, госпожа адмирал, Это правильно! Как ... ?" and then she says ... "Um, I mean ... yes, ma'am! How did you know that?"
