I was playing LoZ : Twilight Princess and was very tickled by the idea that Link has to do sumo wrestling at one point in the game! He's just chalked his hands and is ready to grapple...EDIT: I made some minor changes to the hair and body, I'm much happier with him now!

The hands took me a over an hour to draw and paint, as I was looking at my own hands in a beauty flip-around mirror on a small pole! (Not just handy for plucking eye-brows, I highly recommend these kind of mirrors for when you are drawing parts of the body like the hands and face. Β You can see muscle structure, joints, light, shade, etc much better than most photos on the Internet!) Β I'd be glancing at one hand held up, back at the computer screen to paint, back in the mirrorβ¦then I switched to my left hand for drawing and made a very messy paint block of that, neatening it up afterwards.
My hands are small with slender fingers, so I made Link's palms bigger, his fingers longer and with much shorter nails for sword-fighting purposes.

You're right that those small mirrors are great for drawing body parts. Β In the art class I took last semester, we had to use those while drawing self-portraits. Β It really makes you look very closely at every detail, even the tiniest one. Β

Wow, you did a great job! I saw in the other comments that you had changed his hair color, and I really like it (the shading looks great!) I also like the flying chalk dust, and somehow the texturing on the wall behind him brings it out more. The anatomy is very nice

It's been a while since I played, but from what I remember you travel to Kakariko village and turn into a Wolf, search for the Tears of Light again and restore the village. You attempt to climb up Death Mountain as a human but after a Goron knocks you back down, then you are sent back to Ordon village to learn how to Sumo wrestle so you can fight the Gorons! It's not too far after the Forest Temple.

Thanks hun! His hair was a bright yellowish blond at first, but then I put him through Photoshop again and desaturated the colour to make it look more true to the game art.
