Description
...that hunts in darkness. This is an old local Southern African saying, and I like to think it holds true for love, politics and Cheetahs.I took this photo after the sun had set (hence the high ISO), but this Cheetah was inquisitive enough to give me more than a few seconds stare at the camera. Big cats don't like doing this by and large so you have to take the opportunity when it arises!
Taken near Roedtan, Limpopo Province, South Africa.

was this photo taken in the wild, or at a preserve?

But...Cheetahs prefer to hunt in the day O.o That's why they have the black around and going down from their eyes; as a natural visor to the bright sun while hunting.

Because this African saying, 'It is not just the Leopards that hunts in the darkness' makes absolute zero sense for Cheetahs. I reiterate, Cheetahs hunt during the day xD
Even if darkness isn't referring to night it's kinda confusing.
