Description
I really enjoy how this character looks. I initially took my Atomic character’s picture and altered it with gray skin, glowing veins, a tilted head, and slightly unnatural and unsettling posture. While cool looking and a definite evil/corrupted version of Atomic, it didn’t feel like enough. So I wanted to an energy of sorts to make him look fired up and intimidating. With a bit of adding these energy balls I found pngs of on different parts of his body and blending them in a negative setting, it produced this awesome looking character. It was all trial and error honestly, I had no idea what I was trying to do and ended up with this result. Let me know what you think!

Real Name: Goes by Helix. Don’t ever call him Nico or Atomic, he’ll find it offensive and violently lash out at whomever called him that.

Skills:
-Lacks empathy and morale. This aids him in being brutal, cruel, and psychotic. Isn’t limited by a conscious. This gives him increased volume of power and more controlled abilities as he never second guesses himself. He doesn’t limit himself with fear of being powerful like Atomic, he has no restraint on himself, fully embraces his power.
-Intelligent. Quick thinking. Manipulative. Cunning. Master of deception. Trickster.
-Relentless.
-Master of fear.
-Feels no pain or fear. Lacks sincere emotion. Borderline psychopath.
-Human anxiety, worry, or distress doesn’t exist for him. He is a duplicate of Nico, but not all of him, he doesn’t have the humanity or understanding of being human. Most of his corporeal form is from him being made from parts using surrounding dark matter. Being human and being susceptible to the human condition is relatively non existent.
-Expert torturer. Sadistic. Slow in killing.
-Use of banter to throw off or distract his opponents.

Powers/Abilities:
-Super strength, speed, stamina, durability, awareness and senses.
-Can manipulate matter and take air or surrounding matter of any form to create new forms of matter to use for his advantage. He’s mostly made up of dark matter and can absorb it to amplify his abilities further beyond what Atomic allows himself to do.
-Can absorb all forms of energy in the surrounding environment to increase his power.
-Likes to “twitch” in and out of corporeal form around the surrounding area as a tactic of messing with the minds of his opponents, to induce fear.
-His suit was created by using his powers and surrounding matter and material. Can add to his suit and manipulate different parts of it and create weapons or tools from it, then absorbs them back into his suit.
-Can change the properties of objects without restraint (density/weight).
-He can lift or crush things by manipulating their density by touch. Has superior control of this over Atomic and is one of his most used modes of attack.
-Various other abilities through concentration and manipulating matter/physics such as flight and speed. Changes in density, frequency/vibration allow him to phase through material.
-Can create very concentrated plasmatic energy beams that can either be very hot or very cold.
-He can teleport short distances.
-Manipulates bodily and surrounding atoms/matter constantly to heal himself, sustain himself, and provide sustenance. Consists mostly of dark matter.
-Can duplicate into weaker versions of himself and control them with effort.

Bio:

If Nico is a god who created me, then I shall be the devil who strikes him down. If Nico is Atomic, then I am Sub Atomic and I shall consume his soul to become more than he ever was. Only one of us can exist, it’s balance you see, and I am the chosen one…he is but only the storm, I am the havoc it creates. He created me by mistake, as he says, but I shall end him on purpose, I make no mistakes. I am the alpha and omega, the beginning to his end.”

SubAtomic is the accidental creation from Atomic’s power. When Atomic split for the first time, he didn’t fully understand the ability. As much as he didn’t understand how he created a mirror image of himself, he didn’t fully grasp how to absorb it back. He left behind subatomic particles unknowingly when he absorb his duplicate back.

Over the span of a couple months, those particles grew and grew until they managed to form a partial corporeal form. The body, being made was in excruciating pain trying to come together as a whole. This humanoid cluster of atoms slowly formed into a man by being a black hole of sorts, sucking in surrounding matter to form a body to exist in. This body fully formed from sheer will by tapping into, what was only theorized to exist on Earth as subatomic particles, the surrounding dark matter. The force of the unexplainable and will to exist was enough to find the small dark matter meandering about within the integrity of the planet. The dark matter was the unique catalyst to form a dark clone of Atomic.

While the dark matter made him powerful, it also challenged the integrity of the newly created corporeal body. This clone was vastly discolored in skin color, nearly a grayish tone, and caused twitching of the body as if it was fighting to maintain a held together form. The clone had luminescent yellow veins and eyes, perfectly painting the picture of what this newly formed being was…a corrupted version of Nico Huerta, aka, Atomic.

This sort of anti-Nico was everything Nico wasn’t, as if all of Nico’s darkness formed into a living being. This dark Nico learned of his power quickly, as he retained everything in Nico memory. He even is more powerful with the same abilities as Nico, however, he has the added ingredient of dark matter to his existence…along with having no restraint. He lacked everything there was that constituted as humanity and developed a taste for evil.

This anti-Nico decided to go by the name Helix, as he is of the same DNA of Nico, but a twisted version. Helix loathed Nico and wanted to absorb him so there would only be one. Helix assumes if he can manage to absorb Nico, he will become more stable and powerful. So he stalks and waits to attack Nico, learning more of his tactics. Meanwhile, Helix is a complete psychopath and has no regard for human life, often creating destruction in his wake to attract Nico.

Helix is the personification of all the evil a human can be, and we are sometimes the biggest monsters of them all.
