Description
Special Commission for of her OC, Tyra. A barbarian warrior woman who has been drawn by some of the leading artists here on dA, so when she contacted me to draw her, how could I pass it up? This was a lot of fun to draw and one of the few non-furry commissions I've done. I had particular fun with the sword, Frostklinga. I jumped on the opportunity to use some Tolkien-dwarven runes on the sword, which is fitting because the sword is of Dwarven make. As a side note, it's a simple runes to english translation, with the letters 'st' and 'ng' using the dwarven runes for those sound combinations.Related content

The figures you draw are simply enchanting. I know I know, cheesecake and boobs blah blah, I'm talking about the anatomy, the smooth gentle way you draw curves, your colors, understated yet slightly punchy. I have to say, I'm a little jealous. I spend so much time doing client work, I've not had a chance to get nearly this good at the female figure. I'm always impressed by your work. As always, very very well done.

Well I meant every word of it. I'd love to do an image with you sometime, or perhaps make a little mock-game out of your lovely characters. I'm almost done with a fighting game I've been working on for months so I'm in 2D animation mode right now, lol. Whatever you want, I just like working with good artists and that, you certainly are.

OC? No offense, but she looks almost exactly like Tyra Blaze from Golden Axe Beast Rider. Still looks mighty damn hot.

Sooo the character you're talking about is called : "Tyris Flare", not Tyra Blaze. This is how she looked alike back in the 80's, when I knew her. [link] (in the first Golden Axe games). Super muscular, brown long hair, tan skin (as the new one I think ), two-handed sword. I had created Tyra for a while when they came with that new version. Maybe it's better to know your subject before talking

The first thing I thought when I saw the thumbnail, and then the large version is that it looks like a perfect pose for a resin statue. The flow of the cloak, the position she's in, everything. Wow!

I had guessed it wasn't actual armor, just making the joke that in gaming the skimpy stuff is still classed as armor and works still even when there's not much covered

I've seen a good bit of Tyra art, and your version is hot and well-padded. That's right, Tyra, clothes just get in the way! Nice work with the sword, too, which I noticed eventually, since my attention was on something else. You do justice to a popular OC.
