It's a typical scene for a winter tree. There are plenty of mistletoes in the tree.

I have of course heard of mistletoe toe but I don't think I've ever seen any around here, but maybe it is not a native plant in my part of the world. Thank you for posting this Udo. Very interesting. Now I will look this up to learn about it.

There were not so much in the past, its a tree parasite and not good for the tree. There are lot more in France spreading around more and more. Could be as well a effect of global warming, the winter are not so cold anymore.
