Artwork for Dungeon Magazine #147 alongside an adventure article called "Dread of the Inscrutable Ones".

Here's the art notes we were given to follow:
This illustration takes place at the base of a rugged cliffside. In the background, we can see a winding flight of stairs ascending the cliffs to a distant pagoda-like structure, something like in the mountain pagoda reference. In the foreground, we see a 100-foot-wide valley bordered on either side by cliffs and trees. The stairs up to the pagoda start at one end of the valley. The POV is at ground level, looking up so we see the mountains reaching up to the dizzying skies above where the pagoda looms. The valley itself features dozens of five-foot-wide, fifteen-foot-tall spires of weathered stone carved with complex twisting runes.

The focus of the illustration is the iconic cleric and the iconic paladin. The iconic cleric faces a 30-foot high earth elemental; she’s touched it on the leg with a hand shimmering with black energy. The elemental staggers back as it begins to crumble apart into gravel as the black energy kills it.

The paladin has charged to the right to attack a different enemy, a male yak folk dressed in exotic, flowing robes and wielding a large curved two-handed scimitar. The two have locked swords. Beyond, two more 30-foot-high earth elementals are clambering up out of the ground between the spires of stone.
