Oh c'mon guys, I know you like having Dan being a punching bag. But he CAN fight you know. May not be the most flashest fighter but certainly not inept. But every time you guys draw him, it's more pathetic then the last. At least have him try.

Sooo much hate on Dan Hibiki. He's one of my favorite characters to use in the games simply because I like using underdog characters (Hercule in DBZ games, Tin Can in Custom Robo games...) It makes it oh-so-satisfying when you crush your opponent with the game's weakest characters.

Nah...not really!
But you are right... it is satisfying to master dan and beat up on good players with so called "high-tier" characters.
But with dan it is not easy to do so, you have to be really good...and its more of a reflection on players skill when you actually do get there vs Dans versatility as a character. Its why you dont see him in most Top8s at EVO! Or even top32, or even 100 for that matter.
Canon wise though...Dans an idiot. LOL! But again, thats supposed to make you as a player get very good with him, and show you can even polish a turd.Β

Naw...I am nowhere near tournament-level with ANY Fighting game character. But when I do get in the zone after many attempts, I can beat other people with Dan. Bash your head against a wall enough and eventually you'll break something (whether it's the wall or your skull is up to you).

Poor Dan. He's really not that weak in-game, and Sakura isn't all that strong, but he just can't get a break.

For some strange reason, every time I see this pic, I remember the intro Dan VS Sakura in Street Fighter IV...
