From looking at this preview, I can't tell if the sprite animation is still cut.
The sprite animation of these same characters (not exclusive to this game) was better on the SEGA Saturn than on the DC, XBOX, and PS2....... probably the the 360 and PS3 too.
No matter how much more powerful modern consoles are, I fully believe this DLC version will still be missing animation, unlike SSF2T-HD which got a facelift.
Just call me nitpicky, but I often think that the powers-that-be at CAPCOM, are either lazy or just don't care

No way, the orginal artwork is fantastic. It's some of my favorite Capcom art. I really hope they didn't mess with the ingame portraits. The artist who did this new stuff is capable of some great stuff but all the art I've seen for the update is terrible, especially compared to the original.
