Soul Calibur IV comes out this week in North America and UDON has done a special one-shot comic story that appears in the Premium Edition of the game, both for XBox 360 and the Playstation 3.

I just fell in love with this picture all over again! I know he's a hardened warrior either walking to or away from an epic battle and all, but when I look at this picture the only word I can think of is lovely. Oh and awesome. This picture is lovely awesome-ness.

Incredible art work. And cool it's my main character Mitsurugi. I love the depiction of the battlefield, and the mood this pic displays with how Mitsurugi felt when he thirst for the thrill of a great battle. The grey landscape portrays a sense of unfulfillment in Mitsu's heart. A desolate place with no strong opponent in sight. Interesting enough, the crows are flying towards the light as if they could already sense a promising meal of corpses left in the wake of the devistation of soul Edge. Or the anticipation of Mitsurugi's approach to another duel. This pic generally portrays Mitsurugi as a one man army. Very well done.

I really enjoyed the interior art. The cover art looked a bit rushed though... :\
But overall, I'm super happy to see a comic book adaption of any kind. Especially with Tira 'cause she's my girl... I don't care how crazy she gets. XD And Udon was definitely the best choice for the job!
