Soul Calibur IV comes out this week in North America and UDON has done a special one-shot comic story that appears in the Premium Edition of the game, both for XBox 360 and the Playstation 3.
Our reputation for treating fighting games well with comic adaptations precedes us.

Great art. what surprised me is the only thing that was hand drawn was the character. I find it hard to draw backgrounds without some sort of pencil guideline.

The background was hand drawn as well in pencil. Only the character was inked. The background pencils were then painted over with Photoshop.

The background is also drawn by Joe Ng. For this particular style we only ink the characters, leaving the background in pencils and painting it up digitally.
