Description
Line Art: Joe NgColors: Espen Grundetjern
Fantasy illustration for Dungeon Magazine #144, accompanying an article called 'Muster of Morach Tor'.
From the art director's notes:
Uhndek is a stocky lizardfolk druid, only five feet tall but broad-shouldered. He holds a spear in one hand, the head of which is slightly curved with a serrated edge; the spearβs shaft is covered in runes, and several finger bones hang from the spear by short tethers of twine. He wears hide armor made of crocodile hide, and a thick leathery cloak. A few belt pouches sit on his hips. He wears a necklace of crocodile teeth.

Remarkable character:
,,, trying to read his face.
... He's gets a lot of respect. So he's looking around, hoping no one is there to see him scratch his but. Show no weakness!

Amazing! I love lizardfolk, a race underutilized by Wizards of the Coast, and your drawn is awesome. Better than the majority of official books designs. Or something, my English is terrible ^^U

The lighting is really subtle, as most of it is stray ambient light, but not mood-setting, if you know what I mean. Which is okay, because there's no background. Definite lighting is one of the things I miss most in a picture like this, though. As with bumpy-skinned reptiles, sharp lighting really brings out the bumpy texture that I love so much. That said, the lizard-man is probably one of my favorite fantasy races, especially when portrayed as a tribal society. Their brutality really speaks to my inner caveman

Stunning. I like that there is no black lineart, yet everything is still perfectly defined.

Very sexy. >>;; It would be fun to feel him eat out of your hand, but he would probably just take it off at the wrist. x.x;

The rough paint creates some truly awesome textures (scales, armor, and cloth). Looks bitchin' from both full view and thumb!
