Thanks Nina.
I used a program called Adobe Fireworks but you can use other programs as well.
This is the tutorial I used to get started [link]

Thats really cool! good for you! what did great britian win it in? i'm afraid I dont get to watch all of them (they come on at my house from about 8 till 2, and most of the good ones are at 2!! how unfair is that
)
I think it might be really cool if you added a great britian flad waving in the background (not moving just looking like its in the wind) Like a really big flag, uhh i dont know how to say it...uhhh... like in movies when they put one scene over another, does that make since?
Anyway i really like this especially the varying smiles
(not quite the last one
, i would be extremely happy to win any olympic medal, i doubt i'd glare
)
Well that was a long comment, i'm in a chatty mood

Thanks
We won a silver in the Skeleton I was thinking of adding flags but I decided to keep it a bit more generic rather than making it a something specifically for any one particular country. I do want to make an emoticon involving a Union Jack at some point though.
By the way sorry for taking so long to replyβ¦Iβve just been run off my feet lately

We won a Silver in the Women's Skeleton. Cool name for an event I thought. It seems to basically involve going at dangerously high speeds face down on something that resembles a tea tray

It's great already, but yeah, I'd love to see it animated.

Thanks livius...this one did start of animated but I soon discovered what a pain in the arse it is to try synch the animations of 5 emotes. When I get a chance Iβll try sort it out.

Oh it's a nightmare alright. You have to do things like duplicate frames and only move one character's arm, and figuring out the timing of that kind of thing is even more torture than figuring out timing usually is. Take your time. It's lovely unaminated as well.

It really is. It's the simple stuff that causes half the problems. The two on the side were supposed to be clapping which is simple enough but it made it a pain to animate the ones on the podium without making the clapping go out of synch. Frustrating but Iβll get it eventually.
