Description
This is colored by hand! Not a big deal you say? It's big for me, I only have a handful of hand colored drawings and none of them have near this amount of color. I have quite a few that I colored digitally but this is colored marker all the way. Let me know ( and be critical ) what you think.Related content

i think that the roughness/ununiformity of color matches your shapes (much more bubble and texture than some of your others)- i'm imagining smoothed out sharpie like my stuff and i don't think it would work as well
also, it complements the other 3 cb tests - each one has its own distinguishing feature

Thanks for the positive feedback. I'm still trying to make my colored stuff flow as naturally as my other drawings.

I really like this. <3 I'm glad you're moving into color. Love the borders and shapes.
I have to say, though . . . not real crazy about the colors you did pick. It may be the kind of 'you like it or you hate it' type of thing, but I don't really like the hues of the colors you picked . . .
Also, the bottom looks unfinished and messy. )= You can do better than that! You stopped finishing the edges with the red-orange and curved them instead, maintain consistency with the piece. Also, be careful of cropping. You want to make sure that if things run off the page like that that it doesn't look like poor planning on your part, and instead looks like artistic work. The way to do that is to make the ink run off the paper, too.

Unfortunately it WAS poor planning on my part because I made it a little to big for my scanner. Don't get me started with the color selection, I'll just go back to black and white. One thing though, I wanted more yellow but the brand new yellow pen I bought was defective and ran out of ink. Actually all the pens/markers were shitty. I need some advice on what brand of colored pens to buy.

Well, just be careful of that next time. When you scan it, maybe try and crop it more evenly? All you can do is try, I guess. xD
You know all the complements and triads, right? I tend to be more into balance with color. The colors you picked aren't BAD, it's just their the wrong hues for each other. I think the yellow one should've been an oranger yellow. It's more the marker company's fault - just keep in mind how colors work.
My favorite markers are Prismacolors . . . but they're pretty expensive. You can get similar quality with colored Sharpies, I think.

You must be speaking of the artists color wheel. I need to look into it more. You know that I'm color blind so I will always have trouble (I can't even tell the difference in purple and blue) choosing hues and shades. I think I will go buy a more complete set of colored pens and I want it to look good so I will probably get the prismacolors. I like Dali's color schemes so I might use him as a reference. I really appreciate all the time you spent helping me out with this and I will someday make it up to you. I still have the drawing I want to give you (I might actually get to sending it this year!) so don't give up on me yet.

I didn't know that you were color blind. o.o You never told me that. Did it say that in one of your descriptions and I missed it?
Well, I get that, then. Maybe you should check with others to see if it's a good color or not? Just bring someone with you, or have them look at your color selections? I mean, I understand it's not a total impairment, but it makes things difficult. xP
Of course! No problem. You're a fantastic artist. >3 I can't wait until I get my picture. xD

The colour selections and pattern are excellent, it's quite an appealing bit of work. I like it quite a bit.
However, you might try for an overall theme in regards to colour transitions, rather than scattered bits and pieces. Like having the yellow border the red the majority of the time, which would also emphasize the center of the picture. Only other thing I'd think to suggest is to ink it twice to remove the visible strokes, unless they serve a purpose.
Hand inked looks great, but it's difficult to achieve enough regularity with the inking to get by on a single coat.

I think it's great man, but just the beginning! You are now going to go crazy with colour! lol, if you want. It's done quite nicely but the only thing I can say is there are still little white parts showing here and there. I've never liked using markers.
