so i spent about three hours painting her skin, and by the end i just deleted it entirely... it looks much better this way, i promise.
i need a tattoo, badly

Wow! Very interesting and conceptual artwork, I like it. The white of her hair, how they fall gracefully over her shoulder, so subtle but such a powerful image. Despite the harshness of white, it looks soft against the grey tones, almost like it's made out of cotton. I love the tiny definition of her collar bone! Such little details, I love!
And the owl, so simple but the simplicity has been pulled off well. Mr Owl looks very much like an owl, his gaze, his big, BIG eyes and the way he sits on the tree branch.
I don't see this as a very modern piece... but at the same time, I can't think of what movement it reminds me of. It has a very retro field. And may I ask, how long did this take you to draw?
