I like this shot! It is something very interesting to look at, it awakens some curiosity because I want to be able to read the labels and find out what's inside these vials. I really like the colour palette for this shot as well, it's so soft and gentle, as well as nice and warm. Overall, this is a very cozy shot. I am however, bothered by the fact that it is crooked. I think that this shot would be even better if you were to straighten it out. I don't know if this is something that just kinda happened as you shot it or if it was a conscious choice, and while it sometimes does work, for this, it distracts me. You put the focus in the right place, it creates a nice layering in this shot. The highlights also create a wonderful depth. Great work dear, keep it up!

Thanks a lot for your elaborate critique
I am glad you liked the photo
Actually I'm not sure if I even paid attention to the fact that it is crooked,
but I see what you mean.
I will try to fix that by editing when I have time
Thanks so much for your suggestion and taking the time to comment on my work

For me this photo has me curious about the contents of those bottles. I see the names and what not, but what exactly are they? Nice shot, good centre focus and framing. Love the light reflecting in the ampoules and the way the image is framed to have the viewer ask another question as to whether the wood to the sides is a cbinet/shelf or is this taken in a mirror and flipped to have the writing the correct way. You did a good job on this one!!

Thank you!!
Actually it was indeed a cabinet that contained the little vials.
It's at the Harry Potter studio tour, these are small bottles containing memories
I found them so pretty I had to take a close up (and probably annoyed lots of tourists )

I like how you frames this shot, with wood(?) on either side. I like the synergy of direction: that everything is oriented the same way. I makes for a nice harmony within the shot. The depth of field is particularly nice: how the lowest vials are the ones most in focus, a few in the center of the middle shelf, but most are out of focus, and the rest on the top shelf are completely out of focus. One thing that I'm not really digging is the slight angle to the image overall. I don't think it works that well, and would be more striking if it were straight (however, that may not have been possibly given the description of this image). All in all, a solid photo. Good job!

Thank you so much!!
I see what you mean with the angle.
Maybe I could actually try to fix it by editing.
Thanks for your suggestion!

You're very welcome
That will probably work! I know both versions of Lightroom have a function for them.
Hope it helps!
