critique (as requested)
The two parts of this image are proportioned in thirds, my problem with it is how the two parts work together. Ok, the fact is that they are part of a larger whole, not two different images joined in a diptych.
I can consider the perspective, has it been rotated or not, and i can look at how the lines work to form a symmetry. However, i find the part on the right out of place, even a distraction, from the very nice abstract textural piece on the left.
The window is cropped in a way which adds a tension for me and i think it detracts from the best feature of the image by drawing the eye, and the mind out of the frame to contemplate the window.
It would be slightly different if the window was cropped, or framed in the original shot on the line of the first window frame, making the window more contained, but better still... the right hand part could be cropped out altogether leaving a nice, square abstract. I would resize to make it perfect square also.
(i do like this image, my comments reflect my current bias towards the square... i would be interested to see how the image looks cropped, and how that would change my perception of the piece

Thank you very much.
I understand.
I do like the window, in particular just beneath it. The reflection certainly has no reason to be there.
I tried a few different crops, but think if I want to get it the way I want, I'll need to revisit it with my camera. Polarising filter in tow (perhaps that will flatten the glass, & make it less distracting).
This is the new windowless version I posted [link]
Thanks again I appreciate it

i quite like the reflection
... i was wondering how this would look if you mirrored it... so that the window is continued by its own reflection.... a diptych
maybe you could then mirror the whole thing vertically... like [link]
don't take my comments as a negative, this is a great image... i do like the new version though
an image has many possibilities... and preference is just a point of view, a perspective.

Funny you should say that, I've been watching (sudden closure was a surprise), & will attempt a few of my own soon.
The comments are very helpful, thanks for the guidance. an image is just a perspective...and point of view has many possiblities. (my literal diptych)

"Looking for exception in the ordinary" - this is just the right approach
(i wouldnt have it rotated btw, the image doesnt need it)
