> His family clan had been riddled with war for generations, so any religious practices had become long forgotten over time. However, Viktor is hopeful that there are supernatural being(s) that have created Adrila'Jar and the Praude...he believes in a very specific afterlife. He believes that in the afterlife, you can pick whatever age/health that you had in the physical world to be your physical appearance; everyone in the afterlife are people that you've met, even if for the smallest instance. The afterlife setting is a place that one holds dear to their heart, and in Viktor's case that would be a more natural forest setting with some forms of civilization (basically a small village with a bar that he can frequent).

summary :
personality type : ISFJ (Defender)
"Defenders are typically a little sensitive and reserved, but have excellent analytical abilities and well-developed people/social skills. They're generally conservative, but are open to new ideas and change. They are kind and respected by others, but some selfish people are likely to take advantage of Defenders dedication and humbleness by taking credit for their hard work. Defends are naturally well-suited for social situations and have an excellent memory--more often for people and details about their lives than data. They aren't called Defenders for nothing; a Defender is fiercely loyal and will devote much of their time to their long-term relationships with others. Be warned...a Defender has difficulties separating their personal and impersonal issues and although they can repress their feelings...they still are vulnerable to criticism and other negativity." -- summarized from 16personalities.com

Cold and introverted, Viktor is a man of few words. In the beginning, he can come off as arrogant, distant and blunt, but with time and company, he begins to creep out of his shell. The satyr is definitely a little rough around the edges, but that's nothing a clean shave won't fix. Viktor's actually a little bit of a player; confident, charismatic and perhaps a little too flirty for his own good. He can pull out a few lewd and suggestive comments here and there...ehee...

The satyr has a good poker face, but he has a charming, crooked smile and a hearty laugh. He's observant--not only of his surroundings, but also people. Viktor's wouldn't boast that he's good at reading people, but he knows when something's off with them. He can sense that something's changed in someone's personality, and it doesn't always have to be for the worse. Perhaps they matured and gained some experience...or they lost something (or someone) important to them. Either way, Viktor can sense it, though he doesn't always act on it. He understands that sometimes people just need to be left alone. After all, he's a little bit like that as well.

Having fought in a family "war" for years, Viktor has a cunning, sharp mind that prefers well-organized attack, and strong defense. He believes that war or battle is a game of strategy; brute strength can only get you so far is you have the brain of a rock. Viktor doesn't like to let everyone know he's pretty intelligent, so he uses sarcasm as a defense mechanism; pry too far into his history or life and you'll get bit with a salty reply. When at this point, Viktor rarely apologizes for his actions, unless it truly hurt someone. He believes that people should develop a thicker skin so words aren't so sharp.

likes x dislikes
+ metal working, specifically strong, sturdy, and sometimes decorative weaponry
+ vegetables; viktor rarely tucks into a plate of meat. most of his diet is carbs, veggies, and fruits
+ his horns; they're well maintained
+ his hair
+ basically his good looks
+ goliath
- david
- thunderstorms + humid weather (it makes his hair and fur frizz)
- needless killing (excludes hunting for food/survival purposes)
- pears (weird texture :c)

summary :
Born into a generation old family fued between the Genovs and the Tiriks, Viktor matured at an early age. He learned to constantly be on the look out from his father, Perseus. He was always aware of his surroundings and would never be alone, for that was when he would be most vulnerable. Viktor would always be with his brother, Erik, or his father. His mother wasn't the typical "housewife"; she was a bulky, strong, hot-headed satyr with a love for romance and gardening. She would spend a lot of her time teaching her two sons how to garden and care for themselves so she wouldn't have to look after them all their lives.

At the age of fifteen, Viktor entered the clan fued as a scrawny, but intelligent satyr. He would help his father plan their next move, which often involved redirecting attacks. Perseus was a strong believer in not killing for the blood and joy of it; he emphasized this with his sons so that if they ever got into a quarrel with other satyrs, they would never kill. Viktor and Erik honored this law their father put down.
As he continued to age, Viktor was growing wary of the fued. It had been going on since his great-grandfather's time, and by now, it seemed like there was no reason behind it. Viktor's parents couldn't exactly tell what the issue was, but the Tiriks were insistent on attacking and destroying what the Genovs had, which included Erik.

Erik managed to find himself in a fight against Tirik's eldest son, River. The older, more experienced and ruthless satyr quickly slayed Erik after the latter refused to kill River. As a trophy, River broke off the magnificent, black horns from Erik's skull and carried them around his waist. After Perseus found his son's body, he revoked the law of needless killing and set out for a revenge kill with Viktor. Perseus and Viktor engaged in a father-son battle with River and Riksha (River's father, and Perseus's old friend), weakened by his grieving heart and memories of his friendship with Riksha, Perseus surrendered after suffering from severe wounds, but not before he had managed to fatally wound River.
Viktor continued the fight against Riksha, using his two inherited hammers, David and Goliath, to deliver a death blow to the elder satyr. He advanced towards River's bleeding, wounded form and demanded that the fued stopped because it had resulted to death. As the only surviving male of the Tirik's, River hesitantly agreed to end their generation long war. Viktor tended to his father's wounds and apologized for the death of Riksha and Erik. Perseus agreed that it had been necessary at the time since the Tirik's are known to be merciless and ruthless, but asked for Viktor to continue upholding their law of not killing unless necessary--to which the satyr agreed.

Viktor felt a hole in his soul after the murder of Erik and Riksha; he decided to depart his family's lands to seek a journey of self reflection with a dragon mercenary his family clan had hired for help named Evan. He became a nomad, taking with him only some of his foraging tools and his hammers. However, his feelings towards David and Goliath had changed; once a source of comfort and pride, now they seemed...almost tainted. David was used to kill Riksha, and wielding it felt like a crime to Viktor. He kept the two as a set, but mainly used or carried Goliath in a vain attempt to forget his sins.

m i s c .

fatal flaw : Guilt
> The Genov's have never sought to kill anyone; to kill is deemed as a sin of no redemption. However, Viktor avenged his brother's death in a family fued by killing the leader (Riksha) of a rival family using one of his hammers (David); although the death of the leader ended the fued, Viktor felt tainted by his sins. Viktor has never forgiven himself for killing Riksha, and believes that had he been level headed, he would have found another way to end the "war".

lawful alignment : neutral good

trivia :
> Both of his hammers are identical; they were passed down to the eldest child of the Genovs for generations.
> Viktor is currently the only living son of the Genovs.
> His hammers are named David and Goliath; Viktor never travels without Goliath but will opt to leave David at home. He believes that David (which was used to murder Riksha) is tainted and feels uncomfortable welding it in battle. However, under dire circumstances, he will weild both David and Goliath.
> Praude!Viktor is a semi-alcoholic; he enjoys drinking and will take to alcohol when he's upset. Usually scotch or gin. Occasionally beer.
> Praude!Viktor works as a part-time bartender at a local bar (Moonstire) and a part-time fitness trainer at his local gym (Fit2Fite).
> His horns are well groomed manicured; touch them and you die.
> In both worlds, Viktor smokes but he tries his best to be a responsible, polite smoker. He cleans up after himself and typically wears a cologne that hides the smoke scent well enough.
