I finally got this guy out on paper. He's one of several characters that I've had in my head since the beginning of the year, but haven't found time to put on paper.
Ciraxis is Spartan based. He wields Spartan weapons and wears Spartan-like armor. As much as I love the movie 300, his gear is going to be a little more like historical Spartan armor then the "barely there" armor that was featured in that movie.
Special thanks to the creators of "Deadliest Warrior", for giving my references to go by for this character.
Armor not shown in this picture because I wanted to show his markings. Also, I just noticed that his shield is a little small to be up to Spartan code. That will be fixed on his character sheet.
No "This is Sparta!" jokes, please. They're a bit overdone... even though I'm planning to use one on his character sheet. >_<

Looks great but not much like Spartan. Those warriors wore quite normal leather armor, while this guy... well, he has no armor at all - just like the Spartans in 300 movie.

The character concept is just that. A concept. It's mostly made to get down the character's markings and body type. As shown on his character sheet, he does wear armor: [link]

I really like this character! He's a fine example of a Spartan warrior and a dragon as well. I'm not complaining about his lack of armor either. As you said, it's good to see all the details of his markings. His head and head crest are lovely.

I thought that it is hard to use a spear with one hand, I guess it depends on where you hold it.

It's from a video game, but it is the only video I could find of a Spartan Spear being used. Plus the game was based on the fighting style of real historical warriors, so it gets my point across fairly well. The Spartan's Spear was used as both a thrusting weapon and a throwing weapon.
The movie 300 also properley illustrates how Spartans used their spears.

I learned a little about it from the show "Human Weapon"
It said that all warriors were expected to buy their own gear but, most were so poor that they can't afford to wear clothes. To compensate they developed lethal unarmed combat moves like wrestling and a solid front kick can destroy shields.

This might sound overdone, but I think this guy is so cool that the word 'cool' isn't enough to describe it.
There is honestly nothing about this guy that I don't find cool as heck

Kinda reminds me of lizardman because of Sparta. Looks great.
