Hybrids can only be made with a select few species that share similar DNA or a common ancestor. 

Some of the dragonic species can breed together (not all).
Uhamera can surprisingly breed with Jophiel. 
Aquilians and Skylion can breed.
Athenians can breed with an unnamed humanoid species that I’m working on, though theses two producing offspring is rare. 

Usually, they are recognized as hybrids immediately since they tend to take on traits of both parents. IE - the only way that a draconian alien can have both leathery wings and hair is by being an uhamera/Koran hybrid. 

Or in the case of Aquilians, only pure bloods have decorative feathers. Any Aquilian with skylion DNA in their gene pool won’t have these.
