Elena awoke, immediately feeling the tight ropes around her body and wrists, the cold concrete underneath her, and the freezing night air attacking her skin.

She'd been prepping to go out for a late stroll, which was her slang for "Take photos of a drugs trade taking place at the nearby construction site" when a sharp needle entered her thigh, followed by feelings of nausea, lightheadedness, and darkening of her vision.

"People like you are a real pain in my ass" A voice spoke from above, silhouetted in the bright lights that shone on the bound Elena "Was just gonna put a bullet in the back of your skull, but we need to send a message, one that'll keep brats like you outta here"

An engine revved up behind Elena, her color paling.

A wheel.

Actually no, a MASSIVE wheel, a several tons, 3 times the size of her wheel, one whose main purpose was to crush things, one attached to an engine and a drivers seat, occupied by a man clad in black from head to toe, a man who revved the engine up further.

"Wait..." She realized something "Whats that around my ankles?"

Nothing, oodles and oodles of nothing.

She went to stand up, prepping to run, she doubted her captors would have expected this rather dramatic setup to end this anticlimactically.

Except they did.

She heard it faintly over the engine of the roadroller, the sound of a gun clocking, looking over to see the shadowed man holding a handgun, one larger than most, and it was pointed right at her.

She understood immediately.

He was allowing her two options. Wait to be crushed to death, or take a bullet.

Either way she wouldn't be leaving alive as the roadroller finally started to move...
