Gods can't even fight Goku unless you count Bills who he still beat. Plus Superman has definite weaknesses and Goku doesn't have really any other than his goody two shoes heart.

Goku has died multiple times. He can only come back, if you wish him back with the Deus Ex MachinaDragon Balls.

Superman died once. He came back of his own volition, he decided he was still needed.

Still, also Goku can come back for some time with the help of Baba. But then again I highly doubt these two could fight, the battle would end up destroying Earth.

Still I can't help think Toryiama lifted Superman's origin, a little bit, for Goku's DBZ backstory. He obviously made some alterations.

To be honest DBZ sucked all the fun out of the characters for me.
