Description
Max Dillon was an engineering student trying to follow in his father's footsteps when his father passed away unexpectedly. Suddenly, Max was saddled with funeral costs and his own mounting tuition.

His father was working on an android designed to undertake repairs in dangerous environments, particularly those involving the risk of electrocution. Max sought to finish his father's work, hoping that the android would be a success and his financial nightmare would be over.

However, with the android completed, and fully capable, no one was interested in further funding the young inventor's efforts. In desperation, Max decided to repurpose the android, remotely controlling it from a base as it used its electrical powers to commit crimes on Max's behalf.

The plan was working, until Electro encountered Spider-Man. With Spider-Man on his trail for days, the Electro was destroyed in a final battle with the webslinger, who had finally managed to counter the android's electric powers. With the destruction of the Electro, Max's remote control helmet overloaded, causing him to convulse as the helmet gave him electrical burns, seemingly electrocuting him to death...

Only Max Dillon didn't die, at least, not permanently. Upon returning to life in the morgue, Max found the feedback from the helmet had transferred Electro's powers to him. Left with burns on his face and initially unable to control his newfound abilities, Max disappeared.

Months later, Max returned, now with a specialized containment suit of his own design and control of his electric powers. Max wanted vengeance, wealth, all the things he felt had been denied to him in his former life. There was nothing left of Max Dillon. No mother, no father, no future, dead to the world, now there was only Electro.

Behind The Scenes: This is a direct follow-up to my previous micro of the android version of Electro based on a dream I had. I wanted Electro to be a twisted version of Spider-Man. A young man who lost it all, gained power, but instead of having Peter's sense of responsibility, he indulges in his petty desires of greed and vengeance. This took a number of iterations, but he finally turned out right. Special thanks to my frequent collaborators MrEtsam and Nova20X for their input on Electro.
