Description

Just over twenty five years ago, an alien mothership attacked Earth. Five heroes were chosen to become an elite team known as the Power Rangers. They combated the invasion for just over a year, finally succeeding in destroying the mothership, repelling the invaders, but it cost three of them their lives, but the Earth was saved.

Or so they thought...

Twenty years later, the aliens returned in greater numbers. Humans have bolstered their society by reverse-engineering remnant technology, but even with their expanded arsenal, they are unable to turn the tide, and end up reviving the Ranger program.

The former Black Ranger mentors a new generation of Rangers to wage war for years, hand-selecting warriors to serve as Earth's new defense force, even choosing to bolster the roster past the initial five, but it ultimately ends in tragedy when all of the Rangers, save for the Red Ranger, are seemingly killed in action.

The invading force proceed to conquer Earth, with some humans betraying their own kind to welcome their new alien overlords in exchange for power over their fellow species, and leaving the lone Red Ranger to wage a one-man-war on his own for years, taking on the invaders and the human traitors alike.

Unable to accept defeat, unable to leave the life behind, still fighting to free humanity, the Red Ranger and his mentor hold their own as long as they can. During one battle, the Red Ranger boards one of the alien ships and is transported to an alien planet where he discovers his comrades were not killed, but kidnapped and have been frozen in stasis ever since, being studied on different planets.

He begins travelling to each of the planets to free them, believing that when reunited, they can end the war once and for all...

Behind The Scenes: I've streamlined the narrative of the dream, since my dreams tend to be... a little convoluted. I've also reduced the number of Rangers, since the dream had a gray, a brown, an indigo, and a cyan Ranger, but that might have been overkill. If there's enough interest in the series, I'll add unmorphed forms for the characters or make the previous Ranger team. Enjoy!
