Description
You were out on a simple retrival mission when you got the call. It was a somewhat dreary day in Jasper, but to you the dripping rain on your windsheild was refreshing, as it just flew off when you reached high speeds. The relic was locked in your trunk and you were driving lazily down the backroads. You were supposed to be back at base, but a rare sense of freedom had you assuming you weren't needed at the moment.

Admittedly, it didn't rain much in Nevada and you were having the time of your life.

Until, that is, you got the call from Ratchet. Your radio beeped, muting the playlist you had floating out of your speakers. Grumbling a bit, she opened the line.

"Yeah?"

"[Name], thank Primus you answered. Bulkhead, he's-" Ratchet's voice crackled over the radio and when he mentioned Bulkhead's name, you cut him off.

"What's wrong with Bulk?" you asked, an edge to your voice. "Does Miko have anything to do with it?"

"For once, no. You should probably get over here." Ratchet said, a bit more hurried than usual.

Trying to keep your breathing even, you answered him. "Okay, I'm a click away. I'll be there." You click off your comm and speed up. Nothing too bad could happen to the big lug, could it?

When you got to the base, you immediatly transformed and called Bulk's name. You were greeted by small green sparkling. He was a little clumsy, tripping over his feet as he ran up to you. You quickly recognised him as your sparkmate, Bulkhead.

"Oh no." You muttered "How many thimes do we have to go through this?"

Bulkhead took no notice to your muttering, but stopped and stood infront of you, grinning.

"Hello!" He said. "I'm Bulkhead!"

"Name's _______" You replied, loooking around. "Where are the others?"

"Well, um, I..." He paused, looking at his pedes. You raise an optic ridge, skeptical.

"What did you do?"

Bulkhead bit his lip-plate. "I might have accidentally locked them in the relic room."

You stared at the little wrecker in disbelief. How could the sparkling lock an entire team in such a cramped space? The sparkling hunched his shoulders under your look.

"Okay." You sighed, scratching the back of your helm in thought. "Show me."

Bulkhead ducked his head, but nonetheless motioned for you to follow him as he stumbled back to the room he spposedly locked Team Prime in. He pointed to the door and sure enough, Optimus' face, along with what looked like Arcee's foot, was smushed agaist the small glass panel.

You slapped your servo to your mouth to stop the snort that was about to come, but it wasn't enough to hold in the laughter. Soon you and the green sparkling were on the floor clutching your stomachs. Optimus didn't look too impressed.

"Okay, that is the funniest thing I've seen, but we need to let them out now." You say, wiping energon from your optic.

"Okay!"

...

"You have the key?" You inquire, when a confused look crossed his face, panic curled around your spark.

"Where's the key?!" you exclaim. Bulkhead shied away from your outburst. Primus he scared so much easier than when he was older.

You paced the hallway, aware of Optimus following you with his optics, along with the sparkling that put him in there. The key had to be near. How the hell did he fit them in there anyway? Serves you right for staying away so long. Of course someone else turned into a sparkling. When was Ratchet going to fix it anyway? It's getting out of hand.

You feel someone pokeing your thigh. Looking down, you see Bulkhead. "What is it?"

"Um. Th-there was a thing over there... is it a key?" he asked, pointing to a desk that was just out of his reach. You stride over, snatching up the metal he gestured at. It was the key.

Of course.

A grin stretches across your face and you begin to skip back to the door. Then you pause.

Every one of the Autobots were in that vault. Except for you and your Bulkhead. Your sparkling Bulkhead. A devious smile crept across your face and you turned the key in your servo.

"Oh, Bulkhead?" you call. He looked up.

"Yeah?"

"Do you wanna have some fun?"

"Sure!"

"Yes! Let's go smash some targets!"

The wrecker's face lit up and the both of you sprint outside to where some crude, wood targets were set against the rock. It had stopped raining so Bulkhead went first, missing many but smiling wider each time he hit well. You get a few bullseyes and purposely missed a few, for the sparkling's sake.

"Wow, you're really good!" He said, his optics filled with awe. You chuckle and scoop him up, spinning around in circles.

"You, sir, are the best target-hitter I've seen from here to cybertron!" You announce, earning laugh from the young wrecker.

The evening wore on. You and Bulkhead fooled around with Ratchet's tools, sparred playfully, and may or may not have destroyed some inventions in the process. All in all, it was a good day, just you and Bulk.

You eventually tucker the guy out and end up needing to carry him back to his recharge station. His breathing is even and you can feel it on your shoulder, but just barely. It makes you smile.

You lay him down and flop beside him. You are about to cuddle with the smaller, but then you realized that he would inevitably crush you in the morning. So you take to the other side of the bed and watch him until you fall asleep.

When you awoke, a big green mech was beside you. You giggle softly and sigh, recounting yesterdays events. The target practice, Optimus' face against the wind- oh no.
