Description In the days after the events of Scarif and Yavin, the Imperial Navy began to look over the performance of its ships and snubfighters. The disappointing actions of the fleet led to a slight redesign of all ISD 2 hulls after the original 1500 to not interrupt production. The Tector design was given the full anti snub fighter treatment along with much more powerful turbolasers including a ninth octuple turret in the middle of the ship and proton missiles. Missile and lasers now dotted the ship. Shielding was increased by two shield globes ensuring that even planetary ion cannons might fail to snuff it.

The pride and joy were the multiple dual laser turrets meant to out turn fighters like the X-Wing and Y-wing while maintaining a quick rate of fire.

Their introduction 2 years after Yavin was a rude shock to the Rebel Alliance as the ships proved to be a much tougher opponent than even the ISD 2 due to their accurate gunnery, accurate AA, and ever present Nebula-B, CR-90, and Quasar carriers as escorts.

The Rebellions efforts to destroy them were often met with disappointment and destroyed fighters.

The sole exception was the Hellhound which was lured into planetary ion cannon range and attacked as it was recovering.

Post Jakku, these ships were grabbed by warlords and used in multiple conflicts until absorption by the Galactic Remnant.

A mockup I did of a possible MK2 Tector class with increased shielding and weapons output including a heavy anti-snubfighter output including multiple dual laser cannons.

Meant to escort larger ships and be a flagship or battlecruiser.
