The hunger was gone. I touched my lips, my fingertips stained with blood.It tasted to so good. It felt so good. It felt alive. The rain was pouring down stronger and stronger, wetting my pants, flowing down my suddenly warm skin. My dirty feet were ice cold, but the rest was burning with life. His life. I hadn't even tested if he was still breathing, I just wanted to get away from what I had done. Stumbling into the night I licked my lips in ecstasy. I wanted more...

I guess you're right to be proud at it because it's a great picture. The mood, the rain, everything tells a lot about him. He seems toughtful, looking into his future. Love it.

Unless you were going for a vampire-as-alcoholic metaphor? At first, I thought the discarded beer cans at his feet were just there to add to the sense of squalor in his surroundings, but it just hit me that they might have been a deliberate aspect of the imagery? I suppose alcohol is just another addictive drug when all's said and done, so it that wouldn't really change the theme

I'm a bit in a rush but I at least wanted to answer to this since I was amazed how you saw through the idea I wanted to convey with this one.
It really is a problem in my version of the vampire universe for young newborns to cope with the hunger for blood. In the times of the Agency vampirism is limited to drinking from blood packs or drinking animal blood (but not from the living creature either). Drinking from a livinig human is a completely different experience and kind of an addiction. There are clubs where willing humans give their blood but this kind of pleasure is forbidden and seen as perversion. Jonathan is left alone with his new life as a vampire and loses himself to the hunger at first. He even has to go to a group like the AA with other young vampires but even though he wants to learn to live with vampirism and the hunger there is something in him enjoying this pure and dark lust of drinking from a human.
Which could become a danger to him since before he became one himself he was working on a case of young vampire men being slaughtered after being severely tortured. Velkan and him were investigating when Jon was abducted by the Count and turned into a vampire himself.

This is an interesting change of theme for you. Normally you portray the vampire condition as something seductive and erotic. Here, you show it as something ugly and repulsive and sordid. The setting is rainy and dark, and Jonathan's bare feet look stained and dirty, as though he is walking somewhere which isn't very clean. From his slightly hunched posture, he seems to a little unsteady on his feet, as though he were under the influence of drugs. If it weren't for the blood on his face, you could easily mistake him for a heroin addict staggering out of a back alley after getting his fix from a dirty needle.
In fact, the whole picture has a surreal, nightmare air, like something you might see in a fever or under the influence of drugs. Was that deliberate? You used a much focus than you usually do, as though you wanted to give the scene a slightly "unreal" quality. The difference in colour between Jonathan's feet and the rest of his skin adds to that odd, weirded-out feel β to me, anyway.
Much of your work is either innocent sexy fun (like pretty much everything with Nate in it), or guilty pleasure, like the Count's attempt to seduce Jonathan. This has a deeper and stronger emotional impact, but it's a disturbing impact. To me, it looks like an exploration of the vampire-as-drug-addict metaphor, which is why Jonathan still comes across as a victim figure even though he has attacked and possibly killed someone.

Er wirkt so weggetreten, geradezu traurig, wie er so dahinschleicht...ob ihn gleich jemand abfΓ€ngt und ihn endlich unter eine warme Bettdecke steckt? Velkan vielleicht? ^^ ...Scheuert der ihm vorher wohl noch eine? XD
Die Effekte passen so wirklich gut, obwohl der Regen so etwas flach wirkt, vorallem auf seiner Haut, das ist ein bisschen schade, aber das Licht und die Farben sind so alle Male besser als die anderen Fassungen ^^
