Description
"This feels so much better..."My very first pic done with my new PC
Poison Ivy in the style of the awesome Arkham Asylum game. I loved her re-design for the game *_*
EDIT: I tweaked the pic a bit, gave her more of those vine thingies and added the deep red lips and nails she had in the game. I forgot those and a friend of mine reminded me

Here she comes...
Unlike the mostly original characters of your other renders, Poison Ivy doesn't need an introduction, so she makes her great entrance with due self-confidence. Positioned in the center of a square canvas, she's literally at the center of attention.
See the face and see that smile...
Being positioned slightly above her, the viewer's attention is immediately drawn to her face, which is framed by the boldest colors in the whole scene and fully lit. Her piercing eyes and her slight smile convincingly convey her sense of superiority, which isn't diminished by looking upwards to the viewer, an angle often used to portrait hierarchy. Though in this case, it's reversed and one can imagine the viewer hiding in a tree. Her looks make it clear that she's got the power, even when she's just having a walk in the park.
This lady's serious make no mistake...
The image has an interesting visual concept, where a lush and bright left side is countered by a darker and dirty right side which is barren and still open for her to leave her mark on. But even though the two halves are very different in brightness and detail, the image is very balanced, the bright lushness on the top left is countered by an equally weighted darkness on the bottom right and the other corners match as well.
She'll cast a spell that you may never break...
The postworked magical effects are nicely done. They really fit into the image and look βnaturalβ and not overblown. She doesn't have to put much effort in making the grass and flowers grow, it just happens as she moves on.
Poison Ivy is a great rendition of a supervillainess.

AMAZING job here with Poison Ivy! You really rendered her perfectly her, even down to her red toe nail polish which was a nice touch! Great job!

ok now I see..I tried to make my comment with more colour by using some icons ....I thougt :s...but only link is what I see also...I probably did something wrong
and I'm really interested in your work...you're a great artist and yes I'm poor hahah but not in the heart and for me that's most important
my most interest goes to Fantasy but real life is also a favourite subject for me
my most interest at the moment are living dead dolls...the evil ones I like most..and sometimes I fantasy about a painting pic of me as a living dead doll..and for I see your great talent I don't think it will be a cheap wish but I'm really interested in your moderate price and I hope I can afford it otherwise it will stay a fantasy
..really you're great !!!

Looks very good, I like the color scheme with its bold and lush colors.
I miss replicators in DAZ Studio which would make the placement of grass etc. much easier and more memory efficient.

Thank you so much

what is the program (i assume) that you use to make your 3d art? its beauitfully well done.
im not a big fan of the arkham ivy (or pretty much any of the arkham redos) but as a single picture, its really quite nice

Hm, I saw a single Ivy pic but seems like it was from the random favorites, not from the gallery itself. But after all I got approval for the pic so it seems it is okay... and it seems it's the only club about Poison Ivy around ^^* I working on a Harley too so I hope in the future I can show them together, too

The camera angle on this is spectacular. Really grabs your attention. I gazed for a long time at her and her expression before moving on to the rest of the image. Love that you've got flowers coming up where she steps, not the first thing that comes to mind when one thinks of poison ivy. Superb!

Ulysses3DArt In reply to JeharraVixen [2010-02-11 00:39:17 +0000 UTC]
I love extreme angles but I rarely use them ^^* Actually I wanted to do something similar to this one: [link]
I wanted to add the same distortions and write Arkham Security into the pic but then I didn't do it... don't know why ^^* I don't think she can create flowers with her mere touch in the comics but who cares. She can talk to plants so maybe she just told them to grow where she steps *G*
Thanks you very much

Thanks I know Ivy isn't about magic actually but I thought it would show the effect a bit better and after all she is surrounded by those glowing spores and pheromones in the Arkham Asylum game, maybe that's the effect XD Changed a few things now ^^
