Description This is my fallen Jedi character Solkan Nar, he is a Lorrdian
His race was being enslaved for centuries by the Argazdan Myrialites. They were forbidden to speak by punishment of death and thus had to come up with a non-verbal way to communicate.
First being a sign language for guerrilla groups it soon evolved into a complex sophisticated language which was still used after the Lorrdians were freed by the Jedi and the Republic. Lorrdians posses an uncanny ability to read people's emotions and body language and can communicate even with slightest gestures. They're are also know for being able to mimic many species, even non-human.
Solkan was only four when he was found and brought to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant, a world he would grow to call his home rather than Lorrd. He has never visited his home world ever since. Due to his ability to read people long before he grew stronger in the Force Solkan became quite cocky from time to time and it took long for him to adept the emotional balance of the Jedi. Still his master didn't see him fit to get a Padawan himself and Solkan never got promoted to master's ranks in his time in the temple. On the other hand he didn't want either of it. He was known to be a difficult person and spend most of his time alone. Master Yoda was once heard speaking of him as "the hermit" though it wasn't meant in a bad way since Yoda was the only master Solkan seemed to look up to aside from Mari-Elan Nora, the Lorrdian Jedi Master who helped freeing her homeworld and his own master who had trained him.
Solkan's fall began when he was assigned to escort the Lorrdian Ambassador to Coruscant. That was the moment he met Ilan Kaval, the Ambassador's secretary, who was severely wounded in an attempt to assasinate the Ambassador. Solkan stayed with him until he recovered and between the two a friendship started to bloom. Ilan was interested in the ways of the Jedi though he couldn't use the Force himself. He was shocked to discover that the Jedi weren't supposed to love and or have a relationship with someone. Ilan deemed this a life not worth living. Without noticing it himself at first Solkan started to grow emotionally attached to the fellow Lorrdian, in a way which was stronger than friendship. He didn't understand those feelings neither told Ilan about them although he knew that the other Lorrdian surely already read them in his behaviour. But he didn't object or push him away so Solkan was happy.
He was able to hide them on the outside when being in the Temple, but not on in the inside. His master sensed the changes in his former Padawan and worried about him, but Solkan casted all this aside. He even grew stronger apart from the order than ever before, neglecting direct orders and missing assignments, just to be with Ilan.
When those behind the attempted assassination were found, Solkan wanted to go after them for hurting Ilan, but he was forbidden to leave the temple. He soon learned he was to be assigned to an remote outpost of the order by demand of his former master.
Solkan disobeyed one last time, leaving the temple and going after the assassins himself. He was told they would be brought to justice but he wanted revenge. Already deeply lost to his boiling emotions Solkan struck down the innocent wife of one of the conspirators before killing two of the assassins, who were unarmed and had surrendered and killing the last one in his sleep. He was found standing amongst their corpses by his master who instantly knew his former student was lost to the dark side.
He allowed himself one moment of softness, not killing Solkan but telling him to go and never to return. If he would see him again, he wouldn't let him go another time.
Though told differently Solkan returned to Coruscant, risking exposure to the Jedi he had abandoned, and went to Ilan. He told him what he had done, what he did for him and why. He expressed his deep feelings to the young secretary and asked him to leave the city planet with him. Ilan was shocked and couldn't do anything else than refuse. He cared deeply for Solkan, but not enough to live a renegade life with him.
Being rejected Solkan lost it. In a moment of furious anger he killed Ilan with Force Push, smashing him against the wall and breaking his neck. Holding his corpse in his arms Solkan recognized he had lost everything. His life, the person he cared most for and his place amongst the Jedi.
In attempt to end it all he went to the Jedi Temple and challenged his former master, knowing he never managed to gain his mastery of the lightsaber. Solkan succumbed and died on the stairs of the temple under the night sky of Coruscant.

I know that gay love isn't a prominent topic in Star Wars, especially not in the canon. So I hope I'm forgiven to create such a character. ^^* After all it is non-canon and this not some yaoi-fangirlish vanilla love Took me a long time making up this vita I'm by no means a Star Wars pro like my walking SW encyclopedia of a boyfriend is so if I made any crucial mistakes I'm sorry ^^*

HOT! Star Wars needs some gay characters. (I don't think C-3PO counts!) Another astonishing job, my friend!
