Chris just stood there watching the scene in front of him. He had rushed back with Peer the moment they realized they had been tricked. He actually felt bad for instantly believing that Ilay had stolen their coins and ran off. But seriously, the elf didn't make it easy to trust him. This cocky attitude was confusing... and a bit like his own.The smell of blood was awful, metallic, sharp in the nose. And the sight of the two men, their heads turned in an unnatural way, their bodies beaten and wounded. Their blood was all over the floor... and all over Ilay.
"You came back...", the elf suddenly said, his voice so much colder than usual.
"Yes... I..."
"Are you afraid, Christopher?"
The young man didn't know what to say. For a moment he regretted running away from the castle, leaving his brother behind who was the one who loved this Lord of the Rings crap. And Justin was the mage. Why did he get to screw with that pesty Prince while Chris was out here, stepping from one problem into the next. He just wanted to get home, back to his parents, to his car, even to Highschool.
"Silence is sometimes the best answer.", the elf whispered.
"Ilay, you're creeping me out..."
"Don't worry." His new companion snickered a bit. "He wishes you no harm."
"He?", Chris asked confused.
"I...", the elf said, grinning, while his eyes flashed in a storm of red and black Chris couldn't see. "No harm will be done to you. They however... they had it coming."

Follow-up to this one . Inspired by both Fenris and Anders from Dragon Age 2... that game really is so... I just love it
Not all happy with the stains on the pants (which are others than on the first pic, forgive me...), I wish I could apply this awesome blood shader to clothes too.

Interesting. Ilay is possessed?
I said in my comment on the last picture that the elf might have been a drug addict craving a fix. Here, he looks like a drug addict who has received his fix, sick, yet contented. And the "fix", from the looks of this, is violent death.
There's something a little twisted in his smile, as if he's trying to fight the feeling of being happy. Or maybe Ilay is trying to fight the feelings of whatever is possessing him? That expression is more disturbing than the bloodstains - it is twisted and inhuman. Chris looks shocked, but Ilay seems almost to be gloating. It's very effective - but also disturbing.

Yes, he's possessed by something which will later take over the body of Justin, an ancient evil entity he released in his search for greater power and a way to restore the former glory of the elfs. He's aware of what is in him and that it takes over when he is in great danger but he thinks it's a benevolent spirit who actually wants to help him, not an ancient evil luring him into endangering all the world ^^*
