Inspired by a TR Legend Artwork... damn those cheap textures of the cliff >.<EDIT: This piece is getting a huuuuge amount of attention lately which honestly came as a complete surprise to me as it is 4 years old and certainly has its flaws since I was only starting out on 3D rendering back then. Anyways, many people keep mentioning Nate looks like Jake English, I have not the slightest clue who that is until I googled him after the like tenth comment mentioning him. *lol* I guess it's the glasses too which Nate is usually not wearing
This is my male Tomb Raider character Nathan Thomas (named in complete unawareness of Nathan Drake back then *d'oh*) and not Jake English. There are a lot of more recent artwork of him in my gallery too.
Having said that I'm incredibly grateful for all the attention this piece gets, for all the comments and favs and I still can't really wrap my head around this *lol* Thanks guys!

I was just ranting to a friend how objectively the video game media portrays women as sex symbols. If there were less of that, or more equal representation like this, it'd be tons better.

I did a google search for "Male Lara Croft" to see what came up and this was one of the top results. This is brilliant! It's exactly how I pictured a male version of Lara Croft. I also love it because it actually says a lot about the way we objectify women in video games. Add a tube top and this outfit would look right at home on any female character, but it's totally unheard of for a male character in a video game to wear something like this. It's not fair!
He's also super hot, and if this game were ever actually released I would throw all my other games away because I would never play them again, haha. Keep up the great work!

Hah, what a great concept and an excellent parallel. All Male!Lara needs is an extremely tight t-shirt two sizes too small. The cutoffs look fantastic.
