Description
On this page I was at the height of my design-stream, so it has more drawings on it (of course)Top left has a rough thought of the brain of a taur, but I dropped it since I couldn't think of any sensible ways for the movement-brain to be larger without affecting the intelligence too much. (taurs are supposed to be almost as intelligent as humans)
On the top right I finalized the level of articulation the front pair has. To it's left are some quick thoughts of the different movements and attacks taurs can do.
Below that to the left is cavalry-type taur. Cavalry type is lithe and, just like it's name, the most mobile troop in the army. The note reads: 'cavalry-'taur can stay on hindlegs for a while.'
To it's right is worker-type taur. They are heavier and generally just carry stuff, repair and move supplies. Some of them are used as heavy units. (they are pretty strong, as they can use a zweihander with one hand. <_< Their blows are more crushing than cutting.) The note reads: 'worker-'taur can sit on their hindlegs'
To the right is thoughts about the first and second pair of frontlegs. The notes read from left to right:
'1st pair is very articulate, and to an extend can act as a second pair of hands.' '2nd pair is more rough, and the pads are thicker than in the first pair.'
Then at the bottom I just drew some on their range of movement. The frontlegs can move up sideways about 45 degrees, provided they keep their wrist pointed downwards. Both legs can do the same thing.
(Im terribly sorry for all of you who are knowledgeable of musculature. D :! I haven't studied them too extensively yet.)

Oh, very nice. I especially like the fuller drawings of the taur writing/drawing and of the full paw. The drawings of the cavalry taur are very interesting, too. I'm beginning to like this species even more!

Taurs are one of my favourites too- I guess that's why I dedicate so much of my time to designing them. :3
Thankies~

They're a great species :} Everyone's gotta be a specialist at something. Mine I guess is still dragons, but I can't do anatomy worth beans.

I had dragons too when i was younger, but I have fallen out of practice. <:3 I guess I should start practicing again, eh...
I think i've already said it somewhere, but you learn a ton if you browse DA:s tutorials section.
I have learned to avoid the step-by-steps, since they are boring and not much of use... In the beginning they were more interesting, plus more useful.

I'll have to take a look around, then. o.o

Your art just might take a leap forward with the things you learn.
Obvious tip is obvious: Be more skeptical of the tutorials whose art-quality you find lacking or style don't like. (I've seen tons of tutorials which teach pillow-shading and people in the comments praise it above praise. oAo)

Pillow-shading?
And yes, I'll be careful with what I'm looking at. It wouldn't really make sense to follow a tutorial I don't agree with.

Pillow-shading is the style of shading (mostly in pixelart) where the edges of the character are shaded darker, and the middle is highlighted. : D It looks soft and indefinite, hence the term 'pillow-shading.'
